  1. Time to contact the supplier and see if he'll add the other two tunes for you or you can't expect to sell it ! Gas here is $3.95 / gallon and going up so fast the guy just stays on the ladder....
  2. SUE WHO? Oh, I get it: Are you a lawyer looking for work? :shades: I think you could buy a used flatbed truck for what the dealer wants and bring it to the border yourself! Is the fluid level correct - some was apparently lost. Can you pay the dealer to get the codes for you and ask a US dealer service rep what they mean? I would not let them drop the trans - especially at the price they quoted, but mostly because it defies logic to do that. ¡Buena suerte!
  3. CopperEdge huh? Me too 2007 18" FWD SEL+! I think it's what shoe size you drive with. My feet need size 14 shoes, but I drive with size 7's. I'm 60% Hwy/40% City. I have been showing 20MPG +/- for most of the time I've had the car (4K miles). The number I get when taking miles/gallons at fillups is a bit lower, so I wonder about the computer in the car a bit...18 to 20by my calc's. It may be that I am not getting consistant amounts with these flaky pumps nowadays. I drive it gently, very gently, from 0-20mph. I try to keep it under 2200 rpm. HWY speeds on I95/75/595/Sawgrass XWay run 65-80mph (travelling with traffic). Average on the computer is 39mph all together. A/C on with these numbers. Without the AC it's a bit better. I did put the sole to it after a fillup and reset, and sure enough the mpg avg was 12mpg - had to try it bit to see what she'd do. Oh, and I'm in So Fla and there aren't many hills to affect things, and I do very little "stop and go" because my schedule allows me to miss peak traffic. I reset the MPG at each fillup, and man, sometimes I'm rolling and can momentarily show 50-80mpg - then it collapses so fast it's scary!
  4. Nice, very nice! I think that color is terrific on the Edge. I have the Copper and a Redfire, both SEL+ '07's (wife gets the Red), same wheels. We looked for an 07 in that color, but none with the equipment we wanted were around. The deals on the 07's were too good to pass on. Glare hasn't been a problem so far, and we'll avoid the dash shine stuff. I came from an 2002 Eddie Bauer Expedition 2WD and my wife from a 97 Mountaineer 2WD and we couldn't be happier. Murano was a no go because a friend had one and wasn't very happy, and the design left me cold, seemed smaller also. CX9 interior was crowded feeling to me - just the way the interior wrapped around me I wasn't comfortable like I am in the Edge. Interior on my 02 Expedition was Camel or Tan and showed wear from use much more than my prior dark interior, so I went Charcoal on these. Easy to get in and out of, plenty of space for carting stuff around and my 6'4" 250 lbs fits without an issue. I skipped the BAMR because it steals headroom and most vehicles I drive are short on that. It's fine w/o the BAMR. I've got 1000 miles on mine and the wife has 600 on hers so far and we love em. Good luck with that beautiful ride!
  5. They're coming two at a time now: I bought the wife a new Firemist Red 2007 SEL+ on a Saturday, she let me take it Sunday and Monday I bought a Copper (orange) 2007 SEL+ one for myself! Can you say 0% for 60 months? WOW! I choose to think the rapid growth in popularity may bode well for our civilization: look at all the smart people out there! :yup: There may be hope for us after all! I have had nothing short of a spectacular experience with the two we bought (so far), and I am really enjoying the fuel efficiency (coming from an Expedition). I will save about 20% on fuel on both vehicles - I was using $400 a month and my wife $125, so that's about $100 a month at todays prices. I gave nothing up in the ride department either! Nice.
  6. Right On - You cannot waive liability by simply posting a sign in most states. This would be a fitness-for-use issue - it's a CAR wash and you are washing a CAR. Your claim isn't for aftermarket trim or accessories or poorly attached items - it's the PAINT. I hope you get thru it without the courts, but if you go there, I hope I'm on your Jury! Multi-million dollar award? Nah, but lots of sympathetic citizens would get you a whole new paint job! :hyper:
  7. Just a note, as of 3/17/08 you can get there from the www.motorcraftservice.com site and down load the supplelent - I did not receive one either. Update disks are available from NAVTEQ.COM, for 2007 Edge, for 0ne hundred and forty-nine dollars each. Current version available is 6P Not sure if the 2008 is different, but it's the same version I got from the dealer today with my "new" 2007. :hyper: VagabondEdge "I liked the Edge I bought for my wife so much, I bought one for me two days later - now we're DOUBLE-EDGED!"
