  1. I have activated this on both ice and dry pavement. On the dry pavement, I took a corner in town at around 60 KM/h just to see how it would handle. 2 or 3 of my wheels started braking independantly and there was some screeching and chirping coming from all 4. I was very amazed at the stability - as it was referred to earlier "hand of God" was exactly how I would put it.
  2. Had a nice surprise this morning (-20 C where I live)...the windshield just cracked from left to right all the way. The crack is about 4 inches up from the dash - exactly where the defrost vents hit it. I have always had a problem with the wipers freezing and ice accumulation in this 4 inch zone from the bottom of the windshield to where the vents start working. Critical engineering flaw. I did not buy the first year of the MKX so that they would have time to make engineering changes like this. I to have the PTU problem as well with the smell of burning oil in the cabin. Also noticed that when slowing down in snow or ice the vehicle (AWD) keeps moving forward as if it is trying to compensate for something. I was at a stop light and almost at a complete stop with the brakes applied. Damn thing pushed me well into the intersection and was not going to stop until I put it in Neutral. This could have been really bad for both Ford and myself. Only did it it one other time. I have been happy with so many other features of this vehicle I sure hope the dealership steps up. I do not want it to be my last North American made vehicle. 2008 MKX, 25,000 km.
