Did you ever get this sorted out?

I recently drove a 2011 Ford Edge Limited. I didnt buy it because the seat didnt go back far enough for me (Im 6'4"). Yesterday I drove a 2013 SE that did not have power seats. At first the seat didnt go back very far, but then I pumped the lever on the side and I sunk back into the seat and it made it go back further... Strange!! Is the difference in the power seats versus the standard seats, or does the newer car just go back further?? I ask because I found a 2012 SEL that I like but its 2 hours away. It has power seats. I would hate to drive all the way there and have the same problem as the 2011 I drove before.

Both cars look pretty darn similar. The SEL in question does not have leather, navigation, or the panorama roof -- So im not really sure whats even "better" about it. Its definitely a base model. It does have power seats and the SE does not, but I can live with that. The 2013's warranty would last longer.. What's the real difference between these cars? Is the SEL with 30k more miles a better buy?

I love the Ford Edge. Its beautiful. It drives good. But, at 6'4", I'm cramped. I cant stretch at all. Which is crazy to me considering I fit in most small cars. Im looking at 2011-2012 models. Is there any possible way to modify the seat tracks to make them go back further? I kind of doubt it, but I have to ask. I don't like any other cars in the $20k price range, so this is a major bummer for me. Thanks!

I did try that. I played with all of the adjustments, and maxed out I couldn't stretch my legs out at all. Such a bummer. I love the car otherwise. It would be fine around town but I could only imagine doing a long road trip without being able to move my legs around.

I put the seat all the way back and couldn't believe how cramped I still felt. I thought that with an SUV of that size the seat would go back further. Are they all like that? I've driven small cars (mine, for example) with WAY more legroom.. I love everything else about the Edge but that's crazy. Anyone else feel this way? Are other years better?
