Mmick, it was nice to see the Edge Sport moving in the video. I couldn't tell what wheels were on the vehicle in the video, but otherwise -- if that is the Ruby Red color-- it is the Sport model I am expecting, differing in FWD and the Sport standard wheels. Sticker around $45k. Looking forward to getting it.
I saw Tweets from writers who have yet to write their series of reviews, so the search results should changing daily.
By the time the Edge arrives, the Ford stock dividend should reinvestment should give me another 400 shares or so, I'll take it.

A search with the text string "2015 ford edge review" is already showing results of the Arizona-based early hands-on press activity. This evening I found a video and three written reports. Given that early press material may be taken with a grain of salt, nevertheless interesting at least to me. Obviously more material will be forthcoming.

I want my MayPo... err... Edge ordered Jan 2. The animal is loose, per this Tweet of a few minutes ago.
@NYDNAutos: Not a bad change from the snowy Northeast... #FordEdge @Ford

Re showing ads based upon sites visited, I have never been on auto manufacturers web sites except Ford. Last Jeep I drove was when I was 16, learning to drive in a 1948 Willys. The last Dodge I drove was a company car, about 30 years ago. Dunno what Google thinks, but ad serving is a strange business. No matter. I use an Android tablet 95% of the time (rarely use the Win7 laptop anymore), so AdBlock isn't an option. I just thought the choice of ads was amusing.

Today I was looking through areas of the web site I haven't visited before. What I find amusing is that invariably the first ads displayed below the banner are for Chrysler and Dodge. I know ad placement is beyond the control of the web designers, but it is a bit strange, given the purpose of these pages. Can't make it up.

Bump. Are 2015 Edge units shipping from Oakville to dealers yet? (I saw the Feb 26 press release.)

Nice color choice, electric spice
I also want that color with 21' black wheels and heated steering wheel. Hopefully in couple months I will order.
FWIW I'm getting the Sport in Ruby Red, but the stock 20" wheels, moonroof and other stuff. Been reading the manual and I have the impression the higher profile tires may be better for us. Hoping the ice will melt around here by the time the Edge arrives. Wanted a change from black since 2006. No word yet, so making some money in the stock market to pay the new toy. Someday...

The 2015 Edge owner's manual and quick reference cards are now available for download as PDF files.
The manual is just shy of 500 pages. I'm going back to school for a memorization course and an engineering degree. <grin> Good grief...

Any signs of 2015 Edge shipments from Oakville yet? Just askin' waiting on my Jan 2 order. <sigh>

Thanks for both of your replies. I assume "OK to buy" means vehicles have passed QC. I have been buying new Fords off the dealer lot for 30+ years. I'm thinking my 1968 Mustang fastback was the last one I ordered anew. Obviously order and production processes are completely different now.
I just am curious as to what caused the delay in the Edge. I was hoping to jump right to the BlackBerry QNX OS, as the Microsoft OS apparently is a bit wonky.
As an owner of used 1953 and 1957 Fords, and new Fords starting in 1964 with a Mustang, I just am looking forward to a new car since retiring. I've been dealing with the same local dealership since 1979. So I think I am entitled to be a bit disappointed and have the right to <sigh>.

Today I learned that the Oakville facility has 2015 Edge units on their lots, but my source tells me it appears none have yet shipped. My January 2 Sport order has not yet been scheduled. Reasons for no shipping or scheduling couldn't be determined. Bummer.
At least now I know what isn't going to happen, but at least an improving stock dividend is coming soon.
<sigh>

Well, as of today my salesman can't find a build date for the 2015 Sport I ordered on January 2. I'm not sure that he could find any incoming Edge orders or allocations. Bummer. Well at least I get the $F dividend increase... <sigh>

Can the dealer order and install the Daytime Running Lights 942 into the 2015 Edge Sport 401A post-delivery?
I've been asking Ford for the DRL ever since driving to Montreal for F1 races in the 1990s. Out on the plains I could see DRL in the shimmering heat long before seeing the cars. No luck, and I don't understand why. Safety factor IMHO.

Akirby, thanks for the link. Unfortunately Helm doesn't have the 2015 owner manual either. Bright red lettering says not released yet.
Jeff, the Ford web site posted Edge build and pricing pages on December 30 or 31. (I had checking almost daily.) Too soon for discounting, I've been dealing with the same dealer sales and service for 35 years. Trustworthiness and reliability to me are worth far more than a couple of dollars.
I'm looking forward to the new vehicle.

That works for me. Periodic increases = :-)

I ordered a Sport with the 401 package on Jan 2. Looking at the 2014 Edge dash and electronics, way ahead of the Fords I have now, I was hoping to read a manual ahead of delivery. I can't find a PDF on line yet. Any idea when it will be available on the Ford web site?
FWIW no build date yet. :-)

Well, I checked with my dealer today and no schedule yet. Boo...
So far as the $F share price is concerned, the overall market is being affected by the strengthening $ against the € and the oil glut. Given Ford's overseas investments, no surprise... but no worries either. Nor do I think the forthcoming small interest rate increase by the Fed will materially affect the market. I just let the shares accumulate.
