  1. Update on mine ~ first, they changed the insulation the moment we told them of this issue. Then they ordered the carpet for it. After a long wait (about 2 months), they finally changed the carpet. The car was only in the shop for 2days. We have it back again ~ all new carpet and smelling fresh again~ and we are quite contented right now. There was really no musty smell or anything like that.
  2. If you have the same problem that I have, ask your dealership to change the carpet and insulation. I mean, mine is dry so far, but knowing that it was wet, I wonder if they really dried it well that no mold or anything is growing under there. We spend so much time per day in our vehicles that we can't risk being sick because of this.
  3. Thank you, everyone, for all your response. Although I am not happy, but I am somehow relieved that I am not the only with this problem and hopefully with this issue, Ford will do something about this. My update, my delearship fixed the seal. It was really the grommet on the floor that was missing. They installed it but the carpet and insulation are still to be replaced. They said that it takes time for it to come in since they actually ordered it from their supplier. None so far and we're still waiting.
  4. I have been a solid Toyota owner (and fan) and I just switched to American cars because the hubby works for Ford now. I leased a new 2015 Ford Edge. It has only been 2 weeks since I got it. But Ford already let me down big time. On my way home yesterday, I noticed that the driver floor was wet. I got out of the car, took the rubber mat off and the floor mat. When I flipped the floor mat to its side, there was a steady stream of water for a good 10 minutes. Then I tried to get as much water from the floor as I can (by using a rag and dab it on the carpet) but it is still wet... and dirty musty water too. What could be wrong? A friend said that it could be a missing floor grommet. My husband said that it could be the AC house that was accidentally re-directed to the inside (but I haven't been using the AC lately though). I told my husband to take it back to the dealership and switch for another one because the car smells musty now and I don't want to risk any molds growing under there (my family and I have allergies). Does anybody have an idea on what it could be? Thanks.
