  1. Anyone try driving in Sport mode for some extra spirited driving? Throttle response is very quick and keeps rpm's much higher than regular drive mode. Not necessary to use paddle shifters, just put in "S" mode and get on it. This is a fun vehicle to drive!

  2. I just ordered these bulbs for my non-HID sport. My understanding from a lighting shop that the led's will not be able to produce the same brightness as the halogen brights, so it will only be a cosmetic improvement in DRL looks at the cost of not having a highbeam. Not certain if this is true. I just installed a DDM ultra canbus HID kit on Friday that I will post a full report next week. Have not had a chance to drive at night yet. Went with 35w and 5500k bulbs set up. Can't wait to see the results. Hoping the HID's work so well I won't ever need a highbeam :)

  3. Looks like mine will be in next week for similar repairs. My rear door is soooooo of center.

Love your wheels. Are those factory?

Very poor quality control at the factory. Pretty sad that Ford couldn't even put a hood on flush or center the rear liftgate. Those are the factory 21" wheels that was one of my main deciding factors in buying the Edge. I test drove a sport with the standard wheels and noticed a much firmer and sportier ride with the 21's. I really like this vehicle so I hope all of the little bugs have been sorted out. BTW, my dealer has been great getting everything fixed to my satisfaction. Good luck with your fix!!

  4. Just got my Edge back from the dealer on Thursday. Live in San Diego, so car has never been in rain or suffered any water intrusion. They sealed all of the areas around the A pillar. Not the prettiest, but hopefully I never had an issue from the get go. Also had them tighten my hood latch( loose), readjust the hood from unevenness near windows and had them center the rear hatch that was completely off. Dealer gave me a 2014 Edge SEL as a loaner. The 2015 Edge sport is 100x nicer and more upscale than last year's models. I did tint all the windows and next will be an HID conversion.

  5. Thanks for the welcomes to the forum. I did no want the 401a package with all the park assist and other stuff I would likely not use, never knowing that was the only package with HID's. I bought a 2014 Flex Limited 8 months ago and they are standard with the limited. I am now all in on Ford so I hope I am not disappointed long term. There quality has come a long way. I have owned mostly German (VW, Audi, BMW) cars the last 15 years and I am impressed with Fords latest offerings for the money. They appear to be a good value. I will keep you postedn the HID's.

  6. Pulled the trigger and traded in my 2005 M3 and bought the new Edge Sport. I really like this vehicle. Owning the Edge for less than 1 week, I can not give too much feedback other than I think I am really going to have fun with this car. Went with the silver color with black 21" wheels. The wheels really make this car stand out. Will post some more pics and feedback as I get to drive the car more. Car is freshly clayed and tefloned and will get window tinted darker this week. Looking into a HID conversion because my wife can't see with the crappy halogens at night. Biggest immediate disappointment was the vehicle not coming with HID's standard on the Sport. Makes no sense to me. Will keep you posted. Enjoy the pics!!
