  1. I received a Kuda Mounting Base for a gift, unfortunately it won't fit my 2011 edge but will fit someone's 07-10! These things are awesome, I have had one in every car I have owned, perfect for cell phone mounts, It retails for $66.10 plus shipping, Ill let it go for $65 Shipped, it is BRAND NEW removed from packaging only to find out it's the wrong one. Phone Mount NOT included, only the mounting base. http://www.kudausa.com/ford-edge-07-10-black-a1469.html Actual Picture What one looks like in my 2011 Edge.
  2. I fly professionally as a part 91/135 Citation Captain. I currently Fly a pair of Citation 7's and a Citation Bravo, I have flown single Pilot in FedEx Caravans and Piper Navajos, And even taught Chinese students how to fly for a few years before that. Here are the Current Rides: Citation 7 Citation Bravo
  3. The Battery was replaced, terminals are as clean as could be. I'm targeting the hood pin because it is exposed to the elements, thinking that some water got into it to cause issues.
  4. Well, it looks like the issue wasn't the battery, over the last week its been about a 50/50 chance of the Edge turning itself off. I'm starting to think it might be the cold weather causing issues as when it turns off it is below freezing (go figure) I might try a new hood pin as that is exposed to the elements the most. and it's a cheap part to try and diagnose an issue, thoughts?
  5. The CCA's on the old battery were low, only putting out 382 of the rated 540, Replaced the battery, and I THINK that might have taken care of it. Since then it has only shut off once and every other time it had stayed running. Time will tell if I have to investigate something else as the cause of the issue.
  6. I tried multiple changes within the system itself, changed the run times, disabled it, turned it back on, turned off the auto climate, just about everything in the menu has been toggled. And no changes in how it operates. I'll go get the battery tested tomorrow, it is the original battery and might not be a bad idea to replace it anyways.
  7. I installed the OEM Ford 100 series remote start a few months ago when i bought my 2011 Edge. Worked flawlessly up until yesterday. Now everytime I start the Edge it's starts runs for a few seconds to 30ish seconds or so then stops. No warnings on the car, no lights, nothing. The only thing I can think of in my research is low battery voltage but I checked that and it's holding 12.25v (a little low, but still good) after sitting overnight, and the truck still starts normally with the key, and remote but shuts off on its own with the remote. Anyone got any ideas on this one? Thanks
  8. Remote Start installed! 100 Series system, hood pin, keys cut at a local locksmith, and a dealer visit for $19.44 to turn it on and I now have a working Factory Remote Start System!
  9. I've read thru it several times, there is talk about multiple systems in there and I just want to confirm what I need for the 100 series plug and play, and if I have to add a security module I keep seeing mentioned throughout the tread but I believe that only pertains to the 200 series.
  10. I grew up in NY, went to school and AZ and for some reason decided to moved back, I'd take the summer heat over the cold winters anyday! The foci were/are fun, I miss my car already but driving the Edge to work today was a nice change with the comfy leather seats and all the space I would want!
  11. Hello Everyone! I'm James. I have been a Ford owner a long as I have been driving. Im a Moderator on a few Ford Focus forums. and I've been casually looking to replace my 04 Focus that has been on winter duty for a while now. A few weeks ago she developed a misfire, no big deal. But it got me to realize that with 188K on the clock I had no desire to keep putting money into her to keep fixing all the little problems that pop up. The car has never had a major issue, it left me stranded once when the ignition cylinder locked up and that's really been it. So after 10 years, 4 months, and 6 days of ownership and some 161,000ish miles of driving, I traded in my focus on a used 2011 Ford Edge SEL AWD. The extra space and AWD will be a welcome addition this winter. Here is my focus in its hayday when I lived in Arizona, I miss her already. And the new addition! I also have a 2012 Ford Focus SE, Painted in Yellow Blaze which Ford only painted in 2012 on the Focus. I've spend some time looking around the site so far, mostly about putting in a remote start. From what I gather I only need: 100 Series Plug and Play, Part# BC3Z-19G364-A Hood Switch Kit, Part# BT4Z-19G366-A And a trip to the dealer to get it turned on and keys cut, Is my information correct? Thanks in advance!
