  1. My SE does not have the puddle light holes, but I'm very interested in adding them. The wiring is no problem for me, but I'm curious as to where the hole needs to be cut in the mirror, and if there's anything in there that will be in the way once you cut through-wiring, linkage etc that you have to worry about ruining. I would be ordering a set of the bright lights led puddle lights if I do this... Any one have success cutting their own holes? I'd be interested in a write up... I'm also super interested in adding LED DRL, mine just HS the black inserts. If someone has some information for that, I'd be super interested in that as well!!!
  2. Any tips or suggestions for getting rid of the soot in the tailpipes? I'd like to polish the stainless stee too... Thanks!!!
  3. Well, I'm not sure what I was worried about. That had to be the easiest plug change I've ever done! Old plugs were toast.
  4. Is there a video posted for this? Gimp what plugs did you use? I've heard some say it's best to use ngk, some that say oem is better... What is your experience? I'm a well seasoned mechanic, but I've never worked on the edge before. The edge is my wife's DD, and I need to change plugs one evening after work. I don't wanna bite off more than I can chew. What size spark plug socket does it call for?
  5. Also, since I don't have dual climate control, is my blend actuator on the driver's or passenger's side?
  6. Well, both sides of the heater core hoses are hot... I'm betting it's a blend actuator. Thoughts?
  7. Coolant is clean, an about a 1/2" low. I will top off, though I doubt that's the problem. Haven't gotten to the heater hoses yet, will check at lunch... Blower motor blows great, but it blows cold air even on heat.
  8. Good Morning, Just purchased our 2012 Edge SE EcoBoost about a month ago, and tried to use the heater this morning for the first time. With the controls set all the way to hot, no matter which vent is selected, it blows cold. I'm a part time mechanic, so I am fairly handy. Where should I start? Coolant temp is right in the middle fo the gauge, so I know the engine is getting hot... If someone has a schematic of where the blend motor is located, that's my next guess. I'd really love a factory service manual for it, if someone has a pdf they will share! Not sure what is electronically operated, etc. Thanks for the help!
  9. Mel did you find a solution? My 2012 started doing this today...
