  1. Can someone inform as to what "PU" is?

    The torque steer is certainly is VERY present on the sport. To me it felt like the the tires were letting go. Very strange feeling. This only happened when I goosed the car and was only present for a short time ( 1-2 seconds) until it evened out. I thought something was wrong until the salesman informed me that it was torque steer. Than I thought it was very cool. We ARE funny creatures. Its annoying until its cool...... Anyway ordered my sport last week.......Sure I will get used to the torque....I mean that's why I bought the thing.

  2. Rich;

    I ordered mine this past Tuesday. MSRP=$48,395, I am paying $45,970. About $2425 under MSRP. Any incentives will be applied when I pick it up. This includes all fees such as advertising and fuel. I went the Costco route which was $200.00 under invoice but as previously stated you need to add in the Advertising fee when you obtain invoice pricing from a site such as www.nada.com. One dealer had the AD fee listed as $730 dollars. I was never able to find an AD fee schedule on line. I also had one instance where the invoice from the dealer (only one dealer showed me this) was a couple of hundred dollars MORE than any site I could find invoice pricing. Don't know if he was playing around or the invoice sites hadn't caught up. I thought what I am paying is fair for a new, not even in the showroom hot car.

  3. The inflatable safety belts show up on the build and price as INCLUDED in ALL models SE, SEL,Titanium, and Sport. This is not true. I believe the only package that has them included is the Titanium 302A. All other models and configurations must have them ordered as a separate line item. If you order and want them make sure you discuss this with the dealer. It is another error in the Ford Site.

  4. Hey Guys ( and Gals);

    If anyone gets up close and personal with a 2016 Sport can you please let me know if it has a POWER Tilt Telescoping Steering Wheel? The Ford build and price still has the manual as standard but the but the order guide has it as Powered. Ford support has also stated it is powered but I just want to make sure as I just ordered my car. I am a 100 miles from a large enough dealer that may get a 2016 soon.

    Thanks

    I have seen the locks also at zero cost but if you go to a site like NADA and build the car so you can see invoice & MSRP they are a $75.00 orderable option. I cannot imagine ford would give that for free........Do you know something else?

  6. I agree. Don't know how reliable and no mention of a 4G LTE modem. Sometimes reading those articles from European sources are confusing. The body style looks more rounded like the pre 2015. Whatever Ford puts out, whenever they put it out should be really cool with great features......A six month model change after a nine month 2015 seems extreme. Hopefully we will get more word. Hell I'm burnt out just playing and ordering my 2016 let alone wondering about the 2017. Europe could always be different that the states.

    I dropped the 21 inch wheels at the last minute and opted for the standard 20’s. I stopped by my tire guy and we had a chat. Seems a decent tire on the 21 inch side is $100.00 to $150.00 more than the 20’s. The cost was not the only issue. This is my first all AWD car and the thought of having to replace one tire means possibly having to replace 4 tires was a big concern. We also get some snow up here, not much, but some so I thought the 20’s would do better. I also test drove both the 20’s and 21’s and found the 21’s to be a bit rougher riding and that along with the stiffer suspension, well I just thought we would get a bit better/smoother ride. We are in our mid to late 60’s so I don’t want to feel like I am in my one ton. I really like the black rims so an alternative could be to powder coat the 20’s which will cost about $600.00 or for the same price as the 21’s I can get new black 20 inch Rims. If I do that I can sell the standard 20’s. I hope I made a good decision. My wife liked both rims so left it up to me and the 20’s do tie into the exhaust and those beautiful tail lights. I thought it was the prudent thing to do. Now the wait begins.

    Thanks for all the help on this forum….It is appreciated.

  8. Has anyone gotten the wheel locking lug nuts (65L) on the Sport Edge with 21 inch wheels? Wondering how they look, are the chrome or dark, etc, etc. Placing the order for my Sport today and was trying to decide if I should order or maybe wait and see what i can get after market. Maybe dark ones? I imagine I can also order after the car comes in from the parts department.

    Thanks

  9. I agree about the large corporation. The bigger they are the harder it is to make info available. I really think Bruce got that in his head when chatting with me. He went to several window stickers and saw the suede seats and make his assumption that they were standard in the 301. I would wager that is not the case.

    As usual, keep us informed. I still have not ordered because of conflicting info such as the Powered Steering Wheel being standard or an option on the Sport.

  10. Hey cab2g;

    I am not being combative here, just trying to figure this out. (I did not see the interior on the sticker) I just had a lengthy on line chat with Ford and even they are confused. I sent you the transcript in a private msg. I can post it if you think it is appropriate. I am about to order a 2016 and it would really be nice if I knew what I was going to receive. There is also an issue with the sport power steering wheel that I reported several weeks ago that still has not been fixed on-line. I guess these are just new model year glitches but I would think they would jump on them. This seat thing is big. I like the leather more than the suede but I am getting a Sport so I am stuck. If suede is the only perforated option on the Titanium we need to know that.

  11. Well, I think all those options will be there. I had a on line chat with Ford week before last and was assured the power steering wheel was standard and given the fact it cannot be found as an option I think you are ok. As far as Adaptive Steering goes, they are playing it up on the web site and there is no mention of "late Availability" Just interesting it is not listed on the sticker. That said the sticker does not list everything standard on the car. I think you will be fine. If I learn anything else I will let you know. Please let us know when it comes in if these are included. I wonder how you can tell in adaptive steering s on the car?

  12. Boosted Edge;

    How do you know you are getting "Adaptive Power Steering" and the "Power Steering Wheel if so ordered). It is not listed anywhere on the window sticker. Ford says Adaptive PS is standard but not listed on sticker. Also the Power Steering wheel is supposed to be standard (on sport) but on Ford Build and Price it is not shown at all, not even as an available option. In the comparison the Steering Wheel shows up "Manual: but can be optioned to Power.

  13. Check out the profiles of each tire. 18 Vs 20 doesn't necessarily mean one is 2 inches smaller or larger than the other. On the sport the 20's and 21's are the same size overall because the 21 inch tires are an inch less in profile that the 20's so,,, 20 inch with a 5 inch profile equals 25 inches. 21 inch with a 4 inch profile equal 25 inches. Now to your question, just my opinion, the 20's have plenty of side wall for a smooth ride and look a hell of a lot better. Both cars you drove have the same suspension so, which drove better? Get those wheels.
