That's another reason.....I used to be able to repair my vehicles. Now they are too complex with the computer systems and inter-dependence on all the components working together to prevent issues. All I can do now is change fluids and filters, and read any codes the computer may show. At least, I am armed with the possible components or issues before going to my local Ford dealer. No more $$$ surprises!

I buy extended warranty insurance on used vehicles for the same reason I buy liability insurance....for peace of mind. To each his own.

Agree with the extended warranty. Just had our '13 Limited shifter replaced due to the "put in park" light error. Cost would have been $454 out of my wallet! Other than that, the only other issues were the windshield washer hoses broke off the connections, and a new battery. Definitely have the computer updated and Oasis checked. Make sure the recall if any have been completed. Good luck!

Thanks, downloaded today. Full of information. Couple of things though......price is now $14.95, and includes 2011-2014 model years, but software PDF files are 2011/2012 only. They state 2013/2014 are the same, except for minor changes.
