I thought I saw a post where someone changed the dashboard lights from green to blue. Was I crazy or can it be done? I searched for the post forever but haven't found it. If anyone has seen it (or were the one that posted it) would be cool if you would insert a link. Or if anyone knows if and how this can be done even better! Thanks Sean

Im not sure the paint would stick well and scuff sanding the emblem to try would leave it jacked up without a doable fix besides covering it. I removed the old vinyls on mine and it didnt even leave a residue. Granted they were only on for a week or so but the glue will come off with alcohol regardless.

Yeah i got the same impression after looking at it but maybe change it tomorrow and get back with you on a standback photo.

Hey, I have a Gerber machine at work and made up some vinyl’s for my emblems they turned out nice. I didn’t go too detailed just flat black with a gloss black EDGE in center. If anyone would like some made up I don’t mind cutting some out. Just need a few people so I can get them all done at once. Let me know what words you would like in the center and ill start up a list, I wont be making any graphics on them just words as graphics would take a while to draw up on the system. :stats: Just my way of saying thanks for all the great mod ideas you guys come up with my ride is slowly coming together. Oh ill post a pic of mine maybe tomorrow so you can get an idea. Sean Had to wait for some daylight on the pics. I measured the oval and just inserted the size into the machine and it cuts it. This is for the front and back. Making the ford in the oval would be though for me as im not a pro at this machine. As for holding up we use thise decals on aircraft which are cruzin prety fast and dont come off. They do conform to the oval just use a little soap/water combo like used for tint to get it lined up. There are other colors of vinyl at the shop like red blue green so on not sure if anyone wants a bright one like that or not. I didnt realy think of the one on the steering wheel or rims. P.S. they are realy easy to change out too im not happy with the font and will be changing it out just peel clean and stick.

I found a way to get the puddle lamps open with little effort and no destruction. Just get a little acetone and brush along the edge where the clear and black plastic meet, it dries quick so keep applying but not so much that it drips on the top of the lens (only takes about 5 or 6 seconds). It will soften the bond the two plastics have and you can get in there with a razor blade to cut it apart. The clear part has an 1/8in lip on it that slides into the black housing so you wont be able to cut through it just enough to separate the two. Then get a sharp putty knife and wedge them apart. wasn’t able to take pictures my sis is borrowing my camera. I used these 31 mm leds that i found on ledlight.com they have 20 forward facing leds on each one. You have to remove the reflector inside the housing and sand the leds down a bit (they were closer to 34mm) then bend the led holders out a bit and set them in. When you place the clear plastic back it will hold the led in place. They are very bright compared to the stock very nice to walk up to in the dark. Took a little tweaking but was easy enough maybe about 15 min all together. Oh and i just used some karzy glue to put back together the aceton should eat that up if/when the leds fail.

I also have this problem it started when I had my wheels rotated and balanced. I though maybe the tires because I had the nirtogen put in them on that visit as well but was told that would only reduce noise as vibrations move slower through the nitro. Ill take her in to get the bearings checked thanks for the post. Sean

Hello All, I bought my 08 Edge Limited with the vista roof 20" fake chrome rims (did not catch till later) satilite radio so on and so forth, about four months ago. It was listed for $34655 I told them I would pay $28655 they said ok. (my borther in law works for ford but in a diffrent city and I got it cheaper than what he was going to sell it to me for.) With TTL gap insurance and 100,000K ext wrty. the total was $30690 Not bad for a first time buyer. I even talked them into getting me a lower intrest rate than my bank would give me!
