  1. I have up for sale is a New Bi-directional Remote start kit BT4Z-19G364-A. Bought off eBay, but wanted the alarm version. This one does not have the alarm. Paid $253 for, but seller doesn't accept returns, I'd be willing to sell for $240
  2. Yah I ment brass..from what I read online MIP will work in NPT holes....I'll try Napa in the morning, and see if they have the aluminum ones...then gatta hit up harbor freight for the tap set. Then once everything is done up right il try searching for magnetic ones. Also another question....is tafflon tape good to use on this...I have seen a couple of posts where some people have used tafflon, but I'd be worried the it would melt and the inside portion get mixed in with the oil.
  3. Thanks on the 1/4 thread suggestion. I think i will use that instead. I checked home depot earlier for the plug, and could only find the copper, and it was MIP, not NTP. Would the aluminum one typically be carried at a plumbing store....or is it going to be online only? So i was hoping to get a magnetic one....do they make aluminum magnetic ones...or is that a non-existent part.
  4. So I have tried to read up on numerous threads on installing a PTU drain plug....I think I have most of it down pact. But one question, I see some people using hex head (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TWP2SQ)and others using the bolt style (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0045LRZP8) What is the difference? I personally would think the bolt style would be better, because it wouldn't get stuck inside the PTU. Just was wondering why people prefer the hex style.
  5. Thanks for the tip. I just tried it, and no alarm.....so I'm going to take it that I don't have the security box. I looking at the all in one fob....so I think just the short range....eventually I would possibly like the remote access....but if it's twice as much as the plain key fob then I may hold off, and see how we do with just the fob.
  6. Nothing....the box that's in the pic is the park assist module....according the the part number on the opposite side. I did check the front, and the OBDII wires just go to a wad of wires wraped in electrical tape.
  7. Thanks for the reply.....but I was referring to the Vehicle Security System box or RMST box. For adding in a remote start feature.
  8. So I have searched and read quite a few posts regarding adding the plug-n-play remote start....and according to most of them, they say that if i have the liftgate pre-installed, then all i need is the hood switch, fobs, and antenna......but I cant for the life of me find this VSS box....iv looked under the dash....rear panel....(since according to fords Etis website it was built mid-August of 2012) figured id find it there, but nothing except park assist box, and the control box for the lift gate.. .....found the tpms box, folowed the wire but then it goes into a wad of wies with electrical tape going to the liftgate control module... So is there anywhere else this box could be....or do I have an odd ball edge with liftgate, but no remote box.
