  1. Considering the 3 year warranty that is a solid deal. Turned out mine was pretty significantly out of specs for both camber and toe which is why the tires wore down so quickly. Now just get new tires and hopefully back to smooth times.
  2. Lesson definitely learned. Guess for the past 20 years I've been very lucky. I've probably owned about at least 7 vehicles that had either suspension work and/or after market larger wheels and never had an alignment issue like this. Nonetheless, I type this message as I'm sitting in the alignment shop searching for costs on 2 new tires. Lol.... I will definitely pay the $60 for an alignment every time in the future to avoid the $200 per tire cost. Thanks guys!
  3. No, never did. I have had so many lowered cars in my days and never had such bad wear so fast. Was thinking it would be more gradual and I would get the alignment done if wasn't looking good. Now my concern is that without a camber kit the alignment won't cut it. That was why I was curious how others handled it. Maybe I should try to get an alignment done before getting a camber kit. Last I looked into it, wasn't cheap so hopefully I won't need a camber kit and then have to re-do the alignment.

    2011 Ford Edge

  5. Hey all: In around End April to early May I purchased 22's for the Edge and quickly hated the wheel gap. I went ahead and installed the H&R lowering springs shortly thereafter with all new struts at the same time. It has only been about 3.5-4 months since installing the springs and I today noticed pretty bad uneven tire wear on the inside of the rears. It is already to the point that metal belt is starting to show through. Fronts seem fine so far. Obviously this shouldn't be happening this fast so I must have a camber issue. Just by eyeballing it, it isn't too bad but obviously that is not the case. So what have you guys done on here for adjusting the camber. I did a search and saw some people said no aftermarket kit was necessary and others went with the Eibach kit. Any input is appreciated as it will help me with my plan of attack before I blow a tire on the freeway. Thanks guys!
  6. Just lowered mine about a month ago with the H&R springs. Definitely not as smooth of a ride as the stock setup but not terrible either. I personally think it was worth it for how much better it looks. I put 22's on my Edge and the gap was driving me crazy. I was going for look more than performance so wasn't too worried about the ride or that stuff. Really a personal call.
  7. Gotta say thank you for this information. Installed my springs yesterday and this information on the rears likely saved me hours and avoided headaches. Took some finagling to get the correct pressure to allow the bolt to slide out but still way better than taking the entire rear brakes/suspension apart. I was able to do front and rear struts and springs in probably about 3 hours (likely less if I wasn't taking my time and small breaks).
  8. Hi All: New here but been lurking for a bit. Read a lot of posts and found some very helpful information. I read the threads about LED headlights and HID kits. Never seemed to have anyone with strong opinions favoring either option. So - anyone here have a strong opinion after using either (or both). I have a 2011 SEL and will be making the move soon. I just keep going back and forth. Prices being the same don't make it any easier, lol. (mods - please feel free to move if this should be in the lights section)
