  1. The nature of the beast is that I could not try to program keys without having them cut (have to place key in ignition and turn to on to program) I can order new chips (and hope them come in correct) and place them in my IKT, I was trying above all else to make sure I was in the right when disputing sale from vendor, I will run out of time and have to do that today. If I could have been able to do more in the way of definitive trouble shooting it would have been good. If I even knew someone else with a Ford new enough I could even hold their key next to mine and see if the vehicle would add the key using the chip in their key. I would at least prove things were working on the vehicle side. Alas I am surrounded by GM lovers... The moral of the story is buying from China is cheaper, but has its risks. Seemingly I bought 2 IKT's and have two unrecognized chips and one bad transmitter. I will make sure I don't buy from same guy again, I would list his company but, I'm sure that would not be proper.
  2. The SA or HA markings indicate the manufacturer of the key blank, my blanks work, I seem to have a problem with the chip used for the immobilizer. At this point I will probably try to order chips alone from some vendor who seems to be a bit more savvy on the keys. I had enough trouble finding someone who would cut my blanks, seeing as most places who are able to cut the key also sell basically the same product at 8 times the price.
  3. If I am reading the display correctly, its saying it only has 2 admin keys programed, I'm not familiar enough with the system to know if it would display other (restricted) keys.
  4. Thanks for the replies, The keys (IKT) I ordered are http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/7401057353.html?orderId=73369640576311 They say they are OUCD6000022 with 4D-63CHIP. One of the remote transmitters works, although it gives me a trunk button which serves no purpose. The other remote does not seem to transmit as I have tried it many times and do not get a response (think it was horn beep or lock activation) like when I program the others. The key blank works fine, it just does seem to have been read by the immobilizer circuit. From what I have read, I need the 4D-63, 80 bit chip, I would of course love to have that confirmed by someone more familiar with the system. I have replaced the remote battery with a known good battery, as to car battery, it came with car- I have only owned about 2 months. Edit: I am dealing with the vendor and thinking OUCD6000022 with 4D-63CHIP. identifies the proper key, (other than 4th button) if someone reading this finds that thought incorrect, please let me know. As for the vendor, this may be the only two he has ever sold, and seems to be looking for a way out. Thanks
  5. For what it worth, I had read Ford has opened up it's code for developers. I 'm a new member (and owner) so I have not included a link. Search for MyFordTouch and "open source" Long story short, Ford is allowing the opensource community to develop apps for MFT. Ford is not doing, checking, or financing this, so it will be at your own risk. It could happen when an owner who has the programing skills needed, writes whatever app he wants and releases it to the public. There is no guarantee it will ever result in anything, just there is (some) hope on the horizon. To me, I think changing the HU to an Ardroid based system may be the most promising, and using phone screen mirroring as NAV ect. This too may not end up being worth it. Just my $.02
  6. That link is of course no longer active, but I have been looking and have seen some HU which included a new "trim" panel which had buttons for A/C ect. I buy lots straight from China, some good, some bad.
  7. Ok, newish owner here I have made it through all the posts in this sub-forum, and have not found exactly what I needed so sorry if its a worn out topic. I have a 2013 SEL and have two SA keys (IKT), both start the vehicle. To eliminate the danger of losing one of the two keys and needing to pay the dealer or locksmith a large sum I have ordered 2 IKT replacement keys from China (I know) the key is said to be a OUCD6000022 and 4D-63 CHIP. Well when I follow the instructions in the owners manual (also found online) the new keys do not start the vehicle. There is no feedback from the displays other than dimming while the key is turned to start. I have been able to program one of the remotes to operate the doors using the 8 key turn method. The ITK's do include chips, but I have no way of knowing exactly which chip was supplied. Can anyone suggest any troubleshooting steps I may be able to take? TIA
  8. Hate to necrothread, but did you ever get this solved, I'm up the same creek Thanks
