  1. I know this is an old post but does anyone happen to have the part number of this module. My 2010 MKX does the exact same thing and I would like to avoid the pain of going to the dealer.
  2. I have a 2010 MKX and it does they same thing. Works fine in summer and fall but when it gets cold it does the same thing. Fails when I need it!!! I have also tried also possible fixes and nothing has worked. There is another sensor under the hood that I wonder what it does. I know where the hood down sensor is and have bypassed that but no success. Mine does not have any under hood light. Pictures attached.
  3. Does anyone recognize what this sensor is attached under the hood just in front of the driver? I would like to maybe replace it if I knew what it is and how to order. It is from a 2010 MKX but I figure Ford Edge should be the same.
  4. Had my ac/alternator belt replaced by the dealer a while back. Ever since there has been an annoying rattle at low RPM in gear. Finally dug into it and it is the belt tensioner. Changed the tensioner and it does the same thing. It turns out the tensioner is in the far relaxed state and certain RPM's the tensioner is bumping against the stop. Figured dealer put on the wrong belt but it is Dayco 5060450 which is supposed to be the correct belt. Pretty disappointing they did not put on a Ford belt. Has anyone seen this before. I need a belt which is shorter than this. The Dayco belt is supposedly 45.08".
  5. I have a 2010 Lincoln MKX with one button factory remote start. Works really good until it gets cold. Figures. So when I push the button it does everything but start the vehicle. Lights, radio etc all comes on and It gives one beep of the horn. Any idea what the one beep is telling me? I have seen the list as to what 2,3,4,5,6 beeps mean but not one. It has done this twice this winter. Quits working for a while and then starts working. Quits when it gets really cold. Starts great with the keys.
  6. I picked up 3 at the dealer today but thanks for the offer. If I knew they were only $3 each I would have bought 6 for insurance.
  7. Well super glue and hot glue did not work so worked at it with pliers and screw driver and got them all out. worried about debris down in there so rigged up a vacuum with small tube and cleaned around based of plug. Should be good. Moved all three front ones to the back and zipped all back together. Just need tp pickup 3 plug boots.
  8. So we all know what happened. Changed the front 3 plugs no issues. Working on the back 3 and all the coils separated from the boots and now are stuck down inside. What the heck!!!! AAAGGGGHH.. Any great ideas to get them out. I am trying super glue on one to see if that works. Any other ideas besides a long needle nose and then wrecking them and of course I do not have new ones.
