  1. I’ve been running this tune for over 60k miles and not one problem with it. I’m sorry this happened to you.

Does ZFG, or any other tuner, cover engine repairs should something like this happen? Could any other mods you (or perhaps the previous owner, if pre-owned) did contribute to an over boost condition?

  2. I’ve got nearly 50k miles on my Edge with the LMS tune. Not only is it amazing, and the powertrain just fine, I have had zero problems with reliability.

Call them. They have many different tunes available from 93 Performance with hard shifts all the way down to towing tunes. You won’t be disappointed.

  3. The K&N is washable and reusable...for me it’s worth that. Some research indicates these type of filters, with the less restrictive flow, allow more contaminants into the engine.

That said, (and admittedly, I’m biased) the K&N adds like 50bhp...I’d go with that one. ???

  4. I guess I’d argue if the issue is a spring that is not properly seated, the installation was bad.

Think about springs like this - when you buy a new car, do you have to take it to get an alignment 100 miles after you’ve driven it off the lot?

To the OP - the ride quality is negligibly less than stock. On ramps and twisties will be a helluva lot more fun with the springs versus without.

  5. Others will disagree with me but you don’t need another alignment. I did the same as you, install and alignment at the same time and my springs didn’t “settle.” They’re the same height now as they were when they were installed. Here’s my reasoning: when you buy a new car off the lot, you don’t go get an alignment 300-600 miles after your purchase, it’s simply not needed. The same goes for installing new springs, lowering springs or otherwise; the springs “settle” when the weight of the vehicle is applied to them.

As for TP, I have nothing. I’m still running the stockers.

Like I said, some will disagree. Flame away.

  6. I just picked up a used 2015 Edge Sport EcoBoost and been reading all the posts about Livernois tunes with interest. I'm not interested in 1/4 mile or racing, just a middle aged guy who wants little more power, better driveability and be able to tow my 2,000 lb motorcycle trailer. Is there only stock or "aggressive" or is there something in between that gives a little more hp and tq without the hard shifts?

    Thanks for your help

    Ed "Newbie"

I run the 93 performance tune, no hard shifts, just impressive gains in HP/TQ. They also offer a towing tune.
  7. I still have the print out from the original alignment after the springs were put it, I'll find it and post the alignment numbers tomorrow. I do remember there being a slight negative camber in the rear wheels, you can actually see it if you are directly behind the car.

Me too. If I can find it. My rear wasn’t out of alignment even after dropping the sub frame. The front was way off.

  8. I don't want to sound dumb when it comes to tunes, but I guess I am :(

I have a stock 13 MKX AWD with 305 hp at the engine, maybe, I guess? (if I understand right). 225 at the wheels?? (from what I read), I think :)

What would I have if I did this tune? at the engine and the wheels? I think I'll understand that if you put it in that format! :)

I don’t believe there are any tuning options for you. Sorry.

  9. I got the updated tune (93P v3) today, then ran some errands around town and the butt dyno most definitely approves.

My initial impression is that the power delivery is more smooth than the v2, the shifts are on point and the increase in torque is noticeable, even at low RPMs. I'm anxious to feel the torque gains up top as that's mostly what this update was supposed to address.

When I ran against 300s's (Hemi powered) and Charger Daytona's on the v2 tune, they would catch me around 90 MPH because the turbo was fading fast. From the sound of it, on the new tune, the turbo doesn't run out anymore. Bring 'em on... :shift:

  10. Stock: 315 bhp / 335 ft-lbs. torque with 0-60 in about 5.7-5.9 seconds and the 1/4 mile in about 14.5 seconds.

Tuned (v3 93 Performance) 312 whp / 423 ft-lbs torque with 0-60 in about 5 seconds and the 1/4 mile time just north of 13 seconds.

The link below is on the Livernois v2 tune -

The link in my original post on this thread is for the v3 93 Performance tune. Note: those dyno numbers represent the power AT THE WHEELS.

IMO, its most definitely worth it.
