  1. The heat is caused by the internal phone GPS refreshing it's signal. I notice when I place the phone on the shifter console the phone runs much warmer as the GPS needs to work much harder to keep a good signal. If sit the phone on the dash when using any routing app the phone tends to stay much cooler.
  2. I see the same off-center screen. I used the WAZE app on my phone to send a support/feedback request to Waze.
  3. I was able to get Waze to connect and work on my wife’s 2016 Sport. Here is some info and steps I followed if this helps anyone: 1. Tested to work on these phones : iPhone X, 7s, and 6s all running IOS 11.3 2. Sync 3 updated to V3 build 18025 3. I am not using an updated USB (as required for Apple Car Play) 4. Started car and made sure car was connected to my local home WiFi 5. Made sure Waze was updated to current version on phone 6. Forced a cold reboot of the phone 7. Make sure phone is unlocked 8. Connect phone via USB 9. In Sync force find update mobile apps 10. Disconnect phone 11. Force a cold reboot of the phone 12. Reconnect phone and Waze appeared on Sync
  4. Jumped in my wife's Edge to check the oil and noticed that while not a long trip she just did a round trip of about 15 miles with that short trip showing 28.5 mpg. We live in a very hilly/mountainous area so even that 15 miles had some nice climbs, curves, flats, and descents. My 05 F150 could take a few lessons from these new motors and their associated technology. We have also found that using the adaptive cruise when on bigger open roads gives the best mpg, as the slow downs and speed ups are really smoothed out preventing the engine from wasting fuel from harsh changes in speed.
  5. I must say so far I am impressed with the fuel economy my wife's 2016 Edge Sport is delivering. She came out of a 2013 2.0L Escape which overall averaged about 24 mpg for 65K miles. She just hit 5000 miles on her Edge and her overall average mpg is a little more than 24.5. On a recent trip over the weekend the Edge averaged a little over 28 mpg with the cruise set to 70 mph on a trip of about 500 total miles. She is more than happy with the added on ramp and passing performance of the 2.7L in a larger vehicle providing similar and sometimes better fuel economy than her Escape.
