These things are so frustrating! I finally figured it out though... There is a space underneath the grey portion of the clip that allows for something like a flat screwdriver to be placed in there. Once you do that the grey 'lever' piece slides right over the top of the connector - easy peasy. I hope this helps the next guy!

Hopefully this picture will come through. This is taking a look from the top at the piece I'm trying to get off.

Does anyone else have any other ideas on this? I'm having the same issue and can't seem to get it off... I am trying to move the 'lever' piece over the switch but can't get it to budge and I'm afraid to break it...
