My 2013 Edge Limited fob battery lasted almost 4 years with mid to moderate usage. Car would not start with low/bad fob battery due to no signal to anti-theft receiver in steering column. Turn key on steering column and no engine cranking. Changed out battery and worked fine since then (6 weeks ago). No indication on the dashboard panel that fob needed new battery. Takes one 2032 battery and battery is easy to change in fob.
