I'm not sure if the this is the correct sub forum but the cooling fan in my edge is starting to squeak sometimes so I assume that the bearings need to be lubed. I can order a replacement assembly but I hope I can increase its life by lubing them. Has anyone tried this and can it be done with the fans installed?

I know this has been asked before but I can't find the drain location on my 2015 edge. There is no water dripping so I looked on the driver and passenger side near the transmission hump on the inside by pulling off the plastic panel and pulling back the carpet. I see no drain. I went under the car and did the same by pulling back the stiff heat shield on both sides and felt around for a drain but couldn't find it. There are youtube videos but they all seem to be pre 2015 models and the location must be different. Can anyone guide me to where the location is? I looked under the hood up high on the firewall on the passenger side and I see what looks like a drain. Picture attached. I haven't seen any examples that looks like this so I'm not sure this is it.

I just got this 2015 edge and I wanted to check the cabin filter and noticed this little mechanism with a loose gear. Does anybody know what this is for?
