WAS SEARCHING THE WEB FOR FORD EDGE "STUFF" AND FOUND THIS WEBSITE. I AM PLACING AN ORDER NEXT FRIDAY... WWW.BRIGHTTRIM.COM
Someone had posted this site before. I ordered the body side molding and the silver trim to go across the back of the liftgate (where the Ford symbol is). I received both items in a week or less and they are perfect.....but since I only picked my Edge up on Wednesday I haven't had the time to install them yet. Hopefully this weekend and then I will be sure to post pictures.

Hi everyone.. after a painful 6 week wait - I picked up my beautiful Edge today - Creme Brulee, Charcoal, AWD SEL plus with BAMR and NAV.
So.. let's clear the issues out of the way.
1. Liftgate - light and super easy to open. Im 5"1 - absolutely no problems whatsoever.
2. Brakes - the felt fine. I got a quick response from the pedal. Absolutely confident they are fine.
3. Glare - yes you can the see aluminum bezel - buts its not in the line of vision and it did not bother me whatsoever.
Overall, great vehicle, drove superbly, quiet, great acceleration - no doubts in my mine - the spirit of a sports car. I love it

I absolutely agree with all of your comments above. I was used to pulling the liftgate of my Expedition so the Edge is a breeze. I would say the only issue is the location of the handle. My Expedition had a strap that as you were pulling on you could kind of bend your hand. But I think the Edge is a breeze.....I'm really falling in love with mine!

Hello everyone! Still waiting........my dealer has 5/1/07 (today) as the delivery date but as of now nothing yet.......
Quick question, this moring I saw an ad for Lincoln's and it claimed that they were now giving you 3 years of Sirius for free. Has anyone else seen that commercial? And hopefully, has anyone seen it for Ford's?

This weekend 3 buddies and I went on a road trip to catch a Toronto FC game.
I programmed some POI's into the Nav and off we were. On the way I said outloud to the boys, I need a name for the NAV.
One promptly replied "BITCH....call her BITCH" That was if she get's it wrong or gets you lost you can smack that Bitch up!
We had fun Thanking Bitch all day long.
I called my wife to tell her that the Bitch got us to our location with no problems.....she was confused at first then had a good laugh.
Bitch is my new friend!

Aren't the factory "chrome clad" wheels...clad in plastic chrome?????
If they are, then all of the above could do some serious damage to the surface.
Just a thought.
They are. I think the other polishes listed above are for all of the OTHER chrome on our Edge's. But it was good to point that fact out again!

After reading everyones post's I guess I got lucky. I went into the dealership on April 9 told them what I wanted and they found one about 2 hrs away. So I ended up getting mine on April 11. Got the SEL+ AWD w/ NAV system, Vista Roof, Cargo Management, Leather Seat, etc. Glad I opted out on ordering mine... I don't think I would have the patience to wait as long as some of you guys have.
BTW Happy Bday SueS... did you get it today??? That would make an AWESOME bday present!

But the latest from Blueovalforums is that it was released on Monday April 23rd!! :yup: So, I am hoping for a delivery date of next week. I had looked for one with everything that I wanted and actually found it, but they sold it before I could get my hands on it. So we ordered it and have waited (and waited and waited). Everything that I am reading it has been worth the wait.....just hope I feel the same!Sue

Just out of curiosity.....check your window sticker tomorrow when you pick it up. Is the "sold to" your dealer or another dealer? In other words I wonder if they didn't dealer trade it after you called. I guess I am the "non-trusting one".....hoping to see mine soon!
That was the first thing my brother in law told me to check. He said my name would be on it if it was the Edge that was ordered for me. Well my name is on the Window Sticker so this is the one I have been waiting for.

Congratulations!! Bless your ability to wait! I on the other hand am absolutely going crazy waiting for mine. I guess it doesn't help that I am driving around in a 1993 Mazda Miata that is SO small that I don't feel safe in it. I'm glad to hear that it is worth the wait. I think that delivery on my birthday (April 25th) would be a wonderful birthday present....what do you think?

SueS, hope you have yours by now. I ordered mine on Feb 27 and it showed up on the morning of April 19th. Sel+ AWD in Dune Pearl, charcoal leather, vista roof, no navigation system, but all the rest of the bells and whistles

After 89 days of waiting I received the call I have been waiting for....my Edge was delivered to the dealership today :happy feet: I will be picking it up tomorrow. It seems a little strange that two days after talking to the GM all of a sudden the missing car turns up.
Can't wait until tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt that is accurate info. If it fits the AWD it will fit the FWD. As long as we are talking 17" ---> 17" or 18" ---> 18". They are the same thing?
Unless I hear otherwise, I am going to assume someone misled you.
No big deal, I have been looking at many different wheels available for the Edge on tirerack.com and other various sites.

WHY would they be available only on the AWD models? The tire sizes are the same on the FWD??
I can't answer that question.....maybe Ford wanted to differentiate the AWD version. They just became available in March.

Well it is now close to 13 weeks and still no Edge! The dealership is now telling me it is lost. Supposedly it left the plant a couple of weeks ago and they don't know where it is now. They keep telling it will turn up any day now.
In the mean time I have had to pay for an inspection on my Explorer (which I plan on trading in) and my registration expires at the end of the month so will probably end up having to pay for that too.
I tend to be a very trusting person but I am beginning to wonder just what is going on. I am getting the A plan price on my Edge so I guess the dealership doesn't make too much on it so maybe they just don't care. I bought my Explorer (A Plan off the lot) from this place and never had any problems. I have thought about telling them to forget it and try to find something that is on a Ford lot somewhere, but I can't seem to find an SEL+ with Vista roof and Nav system any where in Houston at the moment except for a black one which I really don't want.
This is my first time ordering a car and will definately be my last.
NLR.....sounds like you are being too trusting. I'll ask you again....did you get a VIN # from your dealer? If you have not or if they are unwilling to give it to you then I would have to guess that A. it was ordered, delivered & sold or B. that they never ordered it for you. I know that dealers in my area have them on their lot and if your's isn't ordered they should be able to find one for you. Good luck!

I CAN'T WAIT. CAMEL LEATHER, CHROME WHEELS, B.A.M.R.,SIRIUS.....HOW CAN I GET ROOF RAILS AFTERMARKET FOR ALOT LESS THAN THE $200 PLUS AT THE DEALERSHIP???
Can't get roof rails with a BAMR......unless you figure out a way to work around the BAMR.

To me, the former owner of a V-8 Expedition, which I loved but would only get 11 mpg in the city and 16 mpg on the highway, those numbers look GREAT to me. Besides we all know that you can't have a great looking vehicle and get 50 mpg, we make our choices based on many different things. Mine now has about 100 miles on it and the computer says 14.1.....it's all good.
