  1. I have a 2013 Sport, and I have removed the middle muffler and kept the OEM rear muffler on. I can personally confirm that while it makes the truck a little louder, there IS a raspy, tinny, rattling sound when accelerating through the 3k-4.5k rpm range. It seems to get louder the harder you press the gas. The "tone" is actually nice, but is overpowered and drowned out by the rattling noise - so that spoils it. Next, I kept the middle muffler off, and had some Flowmaster Force 2 mufflers (for the Mustang 3.7) welded on, in place of the rear muffler. Without the middle muffler on, it sounds like shit. Very loud, very raggedy, and very rough. It didnot sound like the Mustang, at all. So, I kept the Flowmasters, but welded the middle muffler back on. Now, the tone is nice (but NOT like it sounds on the Mustang), but it has too much bass. In the cruising rev ranges, it often soudns like I have a subwoofer playing a constant tone at low volume. The radio easily drowns it out, but if you have the radio volume turned down, you will constanly hear it. I will probably buy some different resonators - I'm thinking Magnaflow, to mix with the flowmaster. The 3.7 is capable of some great sounds, you just have to have the right setup. I'll report back when I get the new resonators/mid mufflers welded on.
  2. Thanks. I tinted the fronts with 20% and it matches beautifully. The Edge Sport is one of the few vehicles that really needs nothing done to it to make it look really good. TBH I like the 1.5 gen better than Edge 2.0 but it's all opinion. Ford really got it right.
  3. Will look into the WeatherTec floor mats. It came with the OEM all-weather mats, which actually aren't bad...but I think the WeatherTec mars cover more area.
  4. I enabled stock DRL (signal lamps), and made a change to the dsp module which seemed to make the Sony system play a little louder. Next on my list is global open/close. I'd also like to make the IPC do the gauge sweep at startup, but haven't found anything on that yet.
  5. I haven't named my Edge, but me and my GF agree that when you look at it head-on, it reminds you of a big hippo. So we call it that...the red hippo.
  6. I tend to take special notice to Edge Sport models because they are so rare. Most Edges I see are SEL or SE models. It's only every now and then that I see a Sport.
  7. The 2011 Edge Sport (and maybe other models - I've only seen a sport do this) does a cluster sweep at startup, where the speedo, tach, temp, and fuel gauges all max out and return to 0 or their respective values. It seems like Ford removed this from 2012+ models. Why? But more importantly, can we program this "feature" back, using ForScan? I like it, and I want my 2013 Edge Sport to do it.
  8. Hello all, I just picked up a 2013 Edge Sport. Prior to this, I had a 2013 Lincoln MKZ 3.7L V6. After owning the Lincoln for about a year, I grew tired of the small cabin it has (low roofline, cramped - it's quite a "narrow" car). I looked at the Edge because I liked the sporty look, room, and features it offered for the money...and even though it has the same exact drivetrain as my outgoing Lincoln MKZ, I feel that the Edge performs a bit better as the transmission doesn't seem as "slow" and jerky as it did in the Lincoln. Anyway, I've already added (and removed) a few things via ForScan, and will probably get a few cosmetic enhancements added before it gets too cold out. Hope to learn a lot from the forum. See you around! Oh, of course a pic:
