  1. had the same problem, and big time, it was unexpected in a modern car - took me by suprise and almost caused a bumper accident on my new vehicle.
  2. I think you're right, im just saying from my old vehicle which got like 8mpg to this, is an upgrade. Also in defence there was city driving, hwy traffic, etc slowing me down and probably affecting my mileage. 20 gallon tank i belive, so under 20 a gallon, still better than previously.
  3. Hey i just cleared 1200/1300 miles i have an sel awd plus 18" chrome (i noticed some talk regarding rim size). I live in Brooklyn, Ny and drive moderately throughout the week and usually have half a tank left end of the week ( as opposed to my 04 lincoln lse which filled twice in a week) recently i drove from here to New Hampshire - everyone with the moonroof needs to go there - i got over 320 miles in on a tank cruising around 80ish mph including city driving, light traffic, etc. AND i saw a post earlier from Jimmerz, i think my mileage has been improving with the engine breaking in, but ill let everyone know.
  4. I just traded in my 2004 lincoln lse about 2 weeks ago at Ford, and noticed the Edge. I ended up with the sel awd plus - panoramic moon, navi, 18" chrome, air filter, storage, basically fully loaded. I just cleared 1200 miles and im loving the experience, the new engine is powerfull and response is great, as well as steering. I have it in Orange mettalic rust whatever the color is on top with a black leather interior. The only downsides i found so far were - Buttons on console hard to differentiate at night and no mute button on steering wheel, no zenon HID headlights with a $38k car, and braking sometimes feels like there isnt alot of power behind them ( which i did read a article in edmunds.com about) but nothing that has altered my decision in this vehicle. Also the gas mileage is wonderfull i went from Brooklyn, NY to Laconia, NH in under a tank of gas (330 miles or so). Anyhow look forward to hearing from you guys and gals and learning about the vehicle and helping you in the questions dept.
