Interesting; just noticed that I edited my original post on this thread. Don't remember ever doing that. Wonder if that has anything to do with my complaint to ford's customer service?

Another dealer would be over an hour away

Well after sitting in the dealership for 7 days, I went to pick up my vehicle. The manager of the dealership greets me and informs me my vehicle is driving normal, no problems were found and no work was done on the car. I asked why the technician who drove the car, said he could feel the vibration. They also told me they opened a case with ford on the problem. Why would they keep my car for 7 days and do no work on my vehicle? I asked the manager this question, and all he would say was the vehicle drives normal and no work was done. He also handed me a receipt that said "no work done on the vehicle". I called ford customer service, and all they would say was that they have to go by what the technician said. I have since noticed a small water leak in the right back door, and paint chipping on one back panel near the hatchback. I really don't have time to take back in to the dealer!!! Extremely disappointed. I feel I have no options and stuck with this vehicle!!!!

My Edge is still in the shop, apparently it was not the lane keeping module. The service manager said that he had opened a case with Ford, and my car is one of three other cars that have this problem. The first step is to replace the tires under warranty. Unfortunately I already replaced my tires at my expense, since the first dealership could find "nothing" wrong. So my car which is only 5 months old, and on the 4th trip to the dealership sits in the service department. They are going to continue to look for the problem. It is so frustrating to have a new 40,000.00 car that you can't drive, but continue to make payments on. So frustrated, and starting to get really mad.

Well after three visits to the dealership and a brand new set of tires, I finally went to a different dealership. They found a faulty lane keeping assist module. May be a fuse that is difficult to get to. Taking back next week to fix. Will update if that soles the issue.

Well took my Edge to a new dealership today, and they think it may be a faulty lane keeping module. I'll have to take it back next week and see if it is a fuse or the module itself. They said it is really difficult to get to those particular fuses, so it is going to take a couple of days to get it fixed. They will provide a loaner while the work is being done. At least this dealership took the time to find out what was possibly going on. The other dealership did nothing. I wasted money on new tires and wasted my time on three trips to the dealership, just so they could tell me they couldn't find anything wrong. I guess we will see if this fixes the problem. It certainly makes sense! I will update after next week to see if this solves the problem!

Wow, it could be so many different things. I have an appt next Friday with a different dealership. I just hope they are willing to take the time to find out what's wrong. Especially since it is a warranty issue. It's just really frustrating since the car is only 4 months old. The other dealership would not even try. You would think that after spending almost 40,000 they would stand behind their product. I have always loved Ford products, but this has been a really bad experience! Next time I will take the vehicle home and drive it for a few days before buying it!

I did get the Michelin premier, and it did not solve the problem. Also had them balanced three times, alignment checked and rotated the tires. Did not help. Actually getting worse. I can really feel the vibration in the steering wheel now. I'm going to call another dealership in the area and have then put check it out.

Still glad that I only leased this vehicle. Not happy at all!!!!

Took my vehicle in Yesterday and had asked to have my oil changed and have a technician drive with me. After waiting an hour and a half they told me my oil was changed but the technician had to leave due to an emergency. Frustrated, I asked to have them to at least rotate the tires and rebalance them. Apparently the tires were still out of balance. I'm going to drive the car today and see if any better. I guess if not I'm going to try a different dealership.

I'm thinking about getting the MKX next. Heard it drives really quiet!!!

Taking it in Friday, we will see what they say. I'm asking the technician to ride with me. If they find anything I will post

I have 20s on my edge. I'm just going to put up with it. If there is a problem, it will break sooner or later. Tired of messing with the service department. Personally I think it's a cheaply made vehicle. I'll do a little more research next time. Just had an edge before and thought they would ride the same. The 2017 should be better than the 2014. Guess I was wrong.

I replaced the tires with Michelin's and it did not help with the noise. I'm assuming it must just be the way the Edge is built. Just poor quality. I am taking the car in again, next Friday. We will see if they will find anything. I am so ready to get rid of this vehicle. I guess I am stuck with it for the next three years. Next time I buy a car I will take it home for a few days and drive it awhile. I just had a 2014 Edge before, and it drove so smooth! Wish I would have kept it!

Noisy!!!! Had an edge before and never this noisy!!! Dealership no help. Poor QUALITY and CHEAP!!!!

I have had the wheels balanced, replaced the tires with Michelin's, had the car 's alignment checked and still get a noise at around 40-45 mph. I'm going to take it back to the dealership soon for first oil change and have the technician drive with me. It's not a loud noise, so not sure if they will hear it. It's just really annoying, and I do not want to ruin new tires. I keep checking other forums to see if anyone is having the same issue. Cannot believe it would be transmission related in a new car?

My 2016 edge is having a similar noise and starts out 40-45mph. Changed out tires and still same problem. Keep us updated as to what you find out. Dealership doesn't have a clue, think I'm hearing things. Would love to know what you find out. Thanks!

Thanks. I'll see what they will do when I go in for an oil change. Or just turn up the radio!!!! Thanks for the help!!! I'll update if anything changes.

I am just going to let it go. I think it's just the way it rides. My husbands Dodge Ram truck drives smoother than mine though. Thankful I only leased the Edge for three years. After that I'm going with something that has a smoother ride. I love everything else about the Edge, it just rides like a truck. Starts about 45 mph, and also makes a irritating noise. I'm just going to live with it!!!

I replaced them with Michelin tires. They are really rated well.

I'm having the same problem. I've replaced the tires, checked the alignment, and balanced the tires. Still have lots of road noise. It's driving me crazy. The dealership is no help, I've taken it in several time, and when they drive it they can't hear or feel anything. They make me feel like I'm imagining things. Really disappointed in this cars. Glad I'm not the only one with all this noise!!!!

I then checked the reviews on the pirelli scorpion verde all season, and they described my exact problem. Decided on Michelin premier gtx. They should be in in a couple of days. I have heard really good things about these tires. I had Michelin tires on my last Edge, and it drove really nice!

Had a family member drive the car, and found no issues. Said it's the tires, they are just cheap tires. Also read reviews on the Pirelli scorpions, and they all talked about excessive road noise. I went back to the Ford dealership today and they gave me a really hard time. I decided to just replace the tires. Really irritated to have to by new tires for a car with only 1400 miles. the road noise is just driving me crazy!!!!
