I don't want to take over the thread, but I'm also having intermittent locking issues with my 2016 Titanium. Sometimes the tailgate starts to open but won't, it seems to catch and will not release fully. Other times it's completely dead, all switches will not open it. No clicks, nada. Then if I wait about 20 min it miraculously opens up normally. Also, when closing it there usually is a slam, then a click as it latches. Often there is the usual slam and no secondary latch click. Does this sound like a defective latch assy? I might just try it for $60 its money well spent.

I have a 2016 Titanium w/V6 that I use as a toad behind my motorhome. I've pulled it several thou miles with no problems at all. I just saw the latest toad vehicle guide from an RV magazine and the Edge is not listed at all. Did they change the trans for 2019, or change their minds about it being towable? I know the F35 is not rated which is why I got the V6. I had an Escape that was originally rated for towing with the F35, then they changed their rating and took it out even though the manual says it was ok. Luckily I had no problems.
