  1. I love my LEDs that come stock on the 15, f150 they work great! also the mirror puddle lights on the f150 are nice, to be fair the new f150 come covers in LEDS except for the fog, and license plate which can be replaced quite easily
  2. Ok to The Wizard you have answered my question thanks, my high/low projector is HID, my inside day time lights are halogen. the led kit was for a bace model edge with has halogen as high/low whether its projector or not. the kit is the H15 so I am good I guess. i broke my shoulder recently so I have not been able to get in the lights being one armed. thanks again for the help too all the information
  3. Ok well you all know a lot!!! about this so one simple question would be, can I use this LED kit for the halogen day time run lights? or is my kit junk for me at this point?
  4. I definitely hear the turbo more on my F150 Its a lot louder! and with the VTA mod and a dry high flow filter it all together sounds great!
  5. Well this got hijacked, I am just looking for information, and since I got that LED kit I would like to use it. This is my bad, I did not know that Ford even used HIDs any more considering so many of the new Fords have LEDs, also the color of the headlights look like halogen to me. So, this is my fault for not doing research before I got them. My intentions were not to perform a "hack job modification" and blind other drivers. I am also glad to see that you assume thats what I was tying to do, thanks. With that out of the way, all I am trying to do now is see if the LED conversion kit will work for the daytime running lights? I would like to use the kit if I could. Not receive a lecture on aftermarket modification etiquette. So please, if you could keep it to constructive information that would help my situation, that would be great. thanks to any of you who are providing information
  6. I know on my truck there was a difference in response, and from what others on the f150 ecoboost forum said that when you add aftermarket parts like tunes, down pipes, intercoolers and whatever, there is a big difference in power when you remove the silencers. probably because of the increase demand of air flow with all the upgrades.
  7. ok there must not be because it seem no one know what I am talking, so here we go the f150 ecoboost have a vary good intake system however there are plastic inserts in the intake tubes after the air box before turbos. the purpose of these is to silence the intake noise. as we all know adding anything in the path of air flow to the turbos will decrease power, and I am not wiling to do that just to make the intake quieter. so you can pull them out which will free up the path for air flow. I did not want to get a intake for the f150 because the stock one is great high flow intake just need to remove the silencers. since my edge sport has a ecoboost I was wonder if this motor has them as well? I thought it would be a good idea to ask you all before taring into the intake. check out pics from a f150 http://www.stage3motorsports.com/assets/images/Project%20Cars/Bills%20EcoBoost/aFe%20Stage%202%20Install/AFECAIInstall6.JPG http://s58.photobucket.com/user/glmr34/media/2011%20F150%20SCrew%20EcoBoost/IMG_20111207_160552.jpg.html http://pm1.narvii.com/6316/646d9fdc1450941406cbf6d0f483799367b13c6e_hq.jpg
  8. so any info on the intake silencers? are there any in the edge like in the F150 ecoboost?
  9. so the HID in the stock sport suck I have had HID in a lot of rigs that all look better but more importing, they are not bright I live close to seattle and we get a lot of rain and at night the stock HID just are not bright. so maybe I need to up grade the HID bulb? not sure if I can at least I could get some that are a better color then the 4k or whatever is in there. I am thinking 6k not sure what do you think?
  10. part 1 I have read all the bad stuff on K&N air filters and not to mention how if you over oil the filter the oil can collect up on the compressor wheels and knock the balance off (from what i have read not sure if this is true or not) . so I use a AFE on my F150 3.5 ecoboost and I like it, its a dry filter and reusable so the question is are there any of you all using this instead of the K&N? part 2 on my F150 3.5 ecoboost there was silencers in the two air intakes after the air box, ford used them to silence the motor however they are really restrictive, so I pulled them out and the motor sounds a lot better with a good woosh sound and (I am not talking about the BOV I also did VTA mod on it), also it seems like better throttle response. so does anyone know if the 2.7 eco in my edge sport have the silencers in the intake tubes? thanks for the help
  11. so I got the HID in my edge and I ordered a LED ket but... I did not know they were HID in there so, when i pulled the HID out I was not sure how I was going to install the LED bulbs? i think a plug and play but the bulbs look vary different will the LED fit in the spot and turn in like the HIDs? I know this is dumb question but I need the help lol
