Purchased a new 2022 Ford Edge ST. Drove it off the lot with a total of 30 miles on it. 2 days later the touchscreen issues started. I first suspected that an OTA update had gone wrong. I went back to the dealer a few days after the purchase for tires and while the car was there it must have connected back to WiFi and finished the update. The screen worked great for the next 1.5 weeks, then came the black screen of death that I'm currently dealing with. I was driving down the road, car play was working great and then out of no where the music stopped and the screen froze. It's never come back on since. 3.5 weeks ago the dealer diagnosed it as a bad APIM and put one on order. As most of you probably know, it's been 3.5 weeks since it was ordered and there's no ETA on when it might be available because, "Ford is making changes to the programming." This leads me to believe that the actual issue may not be the APIM itself, but rather the software/firmware. Has anyone had this issue? Have you somehow fixed it on your own or put a bandaid in place while you wait? Can I somehow flash it back to factory and see what happens? I have no radio, backup camera, climate controls, etc. I live where winter is gradually closing in and the only way I can turn the heat on is to remote start the car or turn on the max defrost. I'm a little desperate here...

Surprise surprise. Replacing the throttle body did the trick.

I went ahead and got a new throttle body. We are going to install it tonight. I'm hoping that does the trick. I'll let you know the outcome. Thanks for all your help!

Took it to the dealership today, it won't code so they won't do anything about it. Anyone have any ideas here? I'm supposed to be driving about 1200 miles in the next week on a trip, and I'm nervous.

Is there a certain code that would be thrown for the throttle body or MAF issue? I scheduled an appointment with the dealer tomorrow. I double checked and I am still covered under warranty.

Hi guys, First off, I apologize if this isn't the correct place to put this topic. I'm new here I have a 2014 Ford Edge SEL AWD. The last few days I've been noticing some strange things. When I stop at a stop sign, leave off the brake and then push the gas, there's a delay, and then like a thump, and then it goes. I notice that if I stay between 40-50mph, it will shutter? hesitate? when it shifts. I don't notice it at higher speeds (60-70). When going up a hill, it seems like I have to push the pedal the whole way to the floor for it to catch up and get the power it needs. It also doesn't seem to have as much power when I press on the gas. There's a delay before it wants to take off. Does anyone have any ideas? I was thinking fuel pump possibly? I'm still under warranty, as I'm only at 31,000 miles. Thanks in advance!
