  1. When I hear the click on the driver side the “high” beam comes on. But it works when it wants to. Around 90 percent of the time it works properly. Then other times I have to push forward and pull back on the turn signal switch several times in order to get the driver side high beam to come on if it doesn’t come on. I checked the price for some OEM head lamp assembly’s and wow the price is ridiculous!
  2. I do hear the click sound coming from them. But with them being after market assembly’s they are probably starting to go bad. I noticed the adjustment screw last night to move the beam up or down is very loose. Sometimes I can see the vibration of the engine in the light beam because the screw is so loose.
  3. 2014 edge sel with the halogen projector headlamps. When pressing forward on the turn signal lever or pulling back for flash to pass, 90 percent of the time the passenger side high beam comes on. The driver side only comes on I would say about 10 percent of the time. I checked the fuses on the driver side fuse block and both the high beam and low beam 10 amp fuses tested ok with a meter. I put some dielectric grease on them and re installed them. I verified that both head lamp bulbs are working and even swapped sides. I looked at all the connectors and put dielectric grease on them too. All connectors looked ok. After I put dielectric grease on the connectors and fuses the symptom improved slightly but is still there. The headlamp assembly’s do not appear to be OEM Ford, they look aftermarket because the vehicle had some front end damage before. The only concerning connector issue I found was on the driver side (which is the light that has the issue) the round main connector just below the bulb does not make great “snap” connection. It stays in but with just a little pulling force, the connector will come out. As if the tab is not engaging the pin enough. But that is probably due to the aftermarket assembly. So with all that said, what else should I be looking for. Do you think the aftermarket projector assembly’s are the issue? Or could it be the turn signal multi function switch? Also, when both of the high beams are on, they are dim. They don’t light up much further than the low beams. Both projectors have the correct bulb for the 2014 year.
  4. I’m pretty new here and I’m pretty sure what the answer is going to be but just for my piece of mind I want to make sure. 2014 Ford Edge with 3.5L no two package. Not my car but my in-laws car. they were driving it on a long trip and noticed when they came to a stop or slowed down the ac started blowing warmer humid air. Then the engine coolant too high notification came on. When they got back I checked the cooling fans. Both were not on with a hot engine and the ac on. At least one of them should of been on since the AC was on. I checked fuse 39 under the hood and it tests ok with a meter. I’m getting 12v where the 60a fuse plugs into with the engine off. I ran 12v power directly from the battery to the pig tail on the fan that plugs into the fan control module on the driver side of the vehicle. When 12v is applied with the engine off, both fans come on. With the engine off, I pulled the large connector that supplies power to the fan control module. With engine off I get 12v at that connector. When I pull the 60a fuse I no longer get 12v at that connector. I pulled the connector on the high side ac line on the passenger front side and started the engine with the AC on and none of the fans came on. So my guess is that the fan control module is bad. And the whole fan assembly needs to be replaced. just verifying I am right? thanks!
  5. I found the parts listed on the ford website. Only have some of the part numbers though, so they must be replaceable, but how do you gain access to them?? They are listed as: Body Mount Insulator part number <00155A and <00155B
  6. Is there a way to replace the front body mounts on a 2014 edge? I am able to access the bottom nut but it appears the top nut/bolt is not accessable? My in laws purchased their 2014 edge from an individual that rebuilt the car and it was wrecked in the front passenger side. A lot of parts were replaced on the front end. The person who repaired it did not replace the passenger side body mount. When I jack up that side of the car, I can see and hear the body mount move when there is a load placed on it. It also makes noise when backing up and turning. The bolt for the body mount is crooked so that means it is bent somewhere. They tried to install large washers to compensate for the crooked body mount bolt but it is not working. I couldnt find an access point to get to the top of the body mount bolt, so I am un sure if they can even be replaced?
