I had this same issue happen for the first time after owning my 08 Edge Limited for a year and a half. Previous to this I would occassionally hear fluctuations in the volume. Sometimes when I am starting off from a stop others when just driving. I'm thinking a possible short. Any other ideas or has this happened to anyone else?

Got less then 300 miles on my 2008 and have experienced problems when starting it. Several times now when I turn the ignition on I can hear CDs shifting and the vehicles starts slugishly. Then my radio automatically goes to AM and the clock resets to 12:00

I am about 6'2" and have been looking for SUVs for about two months. The vast majority of vehicles I tested had bottom seat cushions that were considerably shorter than my Ford Explorer. After test driving them I could tell I wouldn't be comfortable in them. I was confident that since my Explorer seats fit me well that the Edge seats certainly would. I was very disappointed to find the bottom seat cushion in the Edge was just as short as the other foreign SUVs I drove. Are there any other long legged Edge drivers out there that have experienced the same problem and if so did you adapt? Hate to spend the money for something I might not get used to....
