  1. I agree, I looked at the Ford Edge specific bumper guards and they just did not look good, plus the quality did not sound that great, so I took Igcitng's advice and ordered it from StreetSide Auto.com (Scion xB bumper guard) made by Bushwacker, it arrived last night, my wife and I installed it and it fit like it was made for the Edge, plus the lip that turns down adds more protection to the bumper. I believe it was 62.00 and free shipping. Highly recommend it!!! Will psot pics this weekend.
  2. Your service rep is an idiot or he is just to lazy to do anything about it. That is the biggest bunch of crap I have heard. There is no design flaw. Our 2008 Edge lmtd. is quiter than my wifes 2005 Acura MDX. I would find another dealer.....
  3. Also have an 08 Edge Limited, Vapor Silver, live in Dallas, TX, have had for 3 weeks, but no slushing noise or humming noise. My only complaint is the drivers side A/C vent does not go far enough to the right. Drove 3 different Edges at my local dealer in Dallas, never herad a slushing noise from the gas tank. Maybe they do not put the same amt. of insulation around the gas tank for the vehicles sold in Canada?
  4. Icemann33, Thanks, will ck it out, I could probably find a Ford or Edge logo to put over the Lincoln logo, but will ck it out. Unfortunately I am trying to make the engine bay look like my 05 Mustang GT Showcar, but it might be a liitle bit of a stretch. Also does anyone have any soundclips of the magnaflow or Gibson aftermarket exhaust that they have put on their Edge?
  5. Any idea with the combined cold air kit, cutom tune of 87 octane and the Magnaflow exhaust that just came out what kind of HP numbers? Also will Steeda be develpoing some hood struts for the Edge? Some engine dress up caps would be great to with the Ford or Edge logo on them. I have been surveying our new 08 Edge Lmtd. engine bay to see if thre is a way to make a plenum cover like Moidwest did with the Mustangs. I may call Midwest and see if I can convince them to look at making some sort of engine cover.
  6. Look at Evolution Performance, they have an SCT tuner w/3 custom tunes, plus they also sell the Magnaflow exhaust system that is made fo the Edge
  7. Agreed, definitely not the best looking engine bay. Just picked up our 2008 Edge Lmtd. last week. There are alot of differnt companies making engine covers for the Mustangs, wish they would make them for the Edge. Case in point of the pic attached. Pic of my 2005 Mustang GT. Enjoy....
  8. New Memeber and Edge Owner from Dallas, TX. Picked up our new Edge last Wed. evening from Sam Packs Five Star Ford in Carrollton, as it is my 3rd Ford from them. Vapor Silver with the Camel Leather. Did not go for the 20" wheels, sport suspesion rides a little harsh, but have the 18" chrome wheels and Vista Roof. Gave up our lease on an 05 Acura MDX, as the new ones were 48-50k, (not in this economy) plus I am a die hard Ford guy, as we traded in my 2002 F-15- FX4, plus I have a 2005 Mustang GT Convertible, pretty much my weekemd toy and show car. So far I am pretty impressed with our Edge, rides smooth, does well around town. Only have 187 miles on it, so not sure waht the gas mileage will be but at least I dont have to use 93octane any more. Only complaint so far is the drivers side AC, so will see what the future brings for Fords new Crossover.
