Cannot edit on mobile but also my seek and media buttons do not work, but mute works. Slapping the wheel kicks it together again.

Has anyone else had problems with their steering wheel audio working normally for one drive cycle, and then glitching up during the next drive? Here are my symptoms:

During most drives everything is normal,

Some drives: Volume Down doesnt work, left is right, and up on the pad selects okay.

Weirdly enough if I hit the wheel with my palm it works correctly again!

Also: when reading PIDS with forscan everything reads normal oddly enough

You can EASILY enable DRL function in forscan on 13 and 14 models.

Oddly enough you are not the first person to complain about interior rattles here on a 15+ model.

Wouldn't a FWD 3.5 TiVCT edge theoretically be faster due to the weight savings and added power due to lack of rotational power loss of an AWD system?

Did some exterior work. Waxed with the Chemical Guys Butter wet wax and sealed with a spray detailer.

Got her back from the body shop with a brand new rear bumper, but Im a little pissed off that while blending the paint, it seems they used less metallic than factory. I may get a repray .

Its located directly center under the rear bumper

Side note: I have successfully added Remote Start to my 2013 SE and installed the upgraded antenna for 100ft range.

Xtra I think you read my post wrong, the second sentence should have been “ecoboost has a bad exhaust note” but yeah I know my 3.5 is an N.A. motor.

Dropped it off at the body shop this morning, got rear ended, very minor crack in the rear bumper plastic. Other driver was found at fault. New rear bumper is being installed and I guess it’s kind of nice to have some unfaded black plastic on there!

I’m 21 now so I got a rental 17 escape with the ecoboost 2.0. Lots of low end torque I like, but I still prefer the harder pull of my 3.5. Ecoboost sounds boring too as far as the exhaust sound is. I miss my car.

I see. Guess Im gonna have to wait it out and see.

Also, what if a family member who is inexperienced drives my vehicle and doesnt understand they would need to depress the pedal harder possibly get into an accident? I look at it as a safety concern as well.

I was just wondering because I would hate to have it fail after the extended warrantee on a known problem, has anyone here had this recall done?

I was under the assumption that it was most likely to happen after the warrantee period like most mechanical failures. Also if Im not mistaken it primarially affects AWD models?

Probably the fact that they recalled the unit itself for replacement leads me to believe theres a legitimate issue. This is a recall not a TSB. Imagine losing braking power and resulting in manual braking on a 4000 pound SUV.

I think its kinda bull that I have to wait for a failure and have a deadline or I have to pay out of my ass due to a design flaw and recall.

Do you guys know if any way I can speed up the failure of my brake booster on my 2013? I have a recall but ONLY if it fails before 10y and 150k miles.

I know as soon as I pass those standards my booster will fail. I want to expedite the process so I can have the recall performed.

Oil and filter change with Mobil 1 Extended 5W-20 and a FL500S. Also took the time to drain and fill with 5q of fresh Mercon LV. Cabin filter (if you wanna call this flimsy paper a filter) as well.

Weird because my 2013 came equipped with Hankook tires. I replaced them with some Bridgestone Dualers.
