I own 5 Ford's all have ASS, it works fine in all of them, it doesn't bother me, it's easy to control with brake pedal pressure. I've only put in one new battery, in the 2015 F-150 last year, not because it died, but I figured 7 years was good enough. I kind of get the teeth gnashing over ASS when it first appeared, but it's been around for a long time now. I can't believe people are still bitching about it and blaming it for everything and anything that goes wrong with thier car.

The Edge is a truck? I think not.

Summer tires aren't meant for the Winter, regardless of brand.

They don't have the same engine. Ford specifies 5W-30 for turbo motors and 5W-20 for normally aspirated motors.
You won't hurt anything putting 5W-30 in your Ecosport. Look in the Owner's Manual, only the US specifies 5W-20, for CAFE reasons, outside the US it's 5W-30. I put 5W-30 in all of my Fords.

BG products are pure dealer service department upsell snakeoil. Don't waste your money.

Thermostat stuck shut and radiator 'not flowing' on a 2 year old car with 3,000 miles? Something very wrong.

It's not a 'splash' guard. It's for aerodynamics and NVH.

TSB means Ford is paying for it. No need for an extended warranty.

Also, I have no idea what a 'certified' mechanic is. Credentials don't mean anything. There are plenty of incompetent doctors, lawyers, realtors, accountants, all of whom have certifications.

There is something very wrong with that engine, I've never changed a spark plug in anything other than a 2 stroke that had that much oil and carbon on it. I'm not saying that plugs might not need to be changed more often, certainly on tuned engines running higher boost. But that video is not at all representative of what a spark plug would look like even after 100,000 miles.

What's a VEP engine?

The consensus is that aftermarket V6 turbo exhausts sound like Civics with fart cans, drone and provide no performance benefit. Save your money.

We own a 19 Titanium and a 20 ST. The Auto S/S is barely noticeable on both, better than in many other cars we've owned/driven. We don't have any squeaks/rattles/vibrations/noises on either. They are two of the better cars we have owned.
There's whiners on every make/model forum. There's legitimate problems and there's the can't please anyone non-problems. This is a case of the later. The only solution is IGNORE.

Performance Summer tires are NOT all-season, they have zero traction in snow and ice. You're lucky you haven't slid into a ditch.

2016 does not have a drain plug.

Because my P226 won't fit there?

Sig Sauer P229 9mm

I'm not sure that ever actually did anything.

Pressure washers are fine. It's the idiot holding the nozzle too close that can be a problem.

5 miles each way, the engine is barely warmed up. If the 5 miles includes lots of stops, 14 MPG is feasible.

When the oil monitor says change it. You can also pull a more frequent interval out of your ass, because Ford has no idea what they are doing.

What's AGS?

I don't lock either my X5 or any of my Fords when parked in the garage and never have any issues.
LSPI What the Heck Are You Talking About?

Hence API SN+ then SP and ILSAC GF-6A specs for oil, which greatly reduce the likelihood of LSPI.
