  1. I got the DTCs issue figured out, so that I no longer get DTCs on low and high beams. The parameters to set are 726-46-01 and 726-46-02. They are described as high beam open DTC and low beam open DTC. 0=unused, 1=used. 726-46-01 was 0001-0100-0076 on my car and I changed to 0000-0100-0075. 726-46-02 was 0100-0101-0078 on my car and I changed to 0000-0101-0077. This set the DTCs to unused. How I figured it out was I printed the as built data from a new Edge on the dealers lot that had HID and then compared page by page to my Edge build data. I found the differing parameters and checked their definitions. This is one more piece of the puzzle. ?
  2. Thanks omar302. I tried both and neither worked to prevent the dtcs from coming up.
  3. Yes, it is configured that way. 726-25-02 0001-xxxx-xxxx. I had to set this parameter to HID already. Because if you dont set it, flash to pass (high beams on OEM HIDs) wont work either. I found this out by accident when trying to use flash to pass while DRLs were on. So the car already is set and thinks its got HIDs...at least in one place, but I think there are other parameters where HID should be set also.
  4. Does anyone know which parameters to change so that DTCs wont come up and tell me my high beam and low beam headlights are out? Ive looked at several options but I dont see what appears to correspond. Thanks in advance.
  5. Additional info, 726-02-02. Is xxxx-xxxX-xxxx, the capital X is 0 or 1.
  6. One more q. Does anyone have experience with 726-26-02, one place lists it as frequency and another lists it as change to linear power. Im trying to turn off the PWM to my OEM HID headlights and just use straight dc, I currently use a relay and capacitor and it works, or if I didnt, the HIDs would flicker. Thanks
  7. Alright!!! I got the DRLs working properly and the drl switchback with turn signal set. It works great and just like it came that way from the factory. Thanks for your help ONEDGE16 and omar302!
  8. Thanks after I change it to 7F, and then change the lights type... then do I leave 7F there or change it to something else?
  9. Yes I can change to 7F, but 2 questions. What do I use for the checksum? Calculate it myself? And, onedge16s block 726-45-01 is NOT set at 7F, and if I set it that way, do I set it back after I change the parameter in 726-50-01??
  10. Thanks ONEDGE16. I just tried to write 108E for 726-50-01, and get writing blocks failed-incompatible configuration. And it goes back to 0280. So something is not happy trying this. I may try changing 726-45-01 to your config and then 726-50-01 and see how that goes tomorrow.
  11. Yes I can turn on from the info panel.. but let me explain further. I need to enable the DRLs in the BCM to work with the separate DRL bulbs in the OEM HID headlight assemblies that I installed to upgrade and replace the original Halogen assemblies that came with the car. Currently, the DRL config in the BCM thinks I have Halogens and uses the same bulb for DRLs as the headlights at a reduced intensity. So Ill change the parameter for discreet DRLs...instead of combined.
  12. Hi Omar302, after chasing 2 Ford dealers to enable my DRLs (I offered to pay) and being refused, I decided to order an OHP ELM327 and will use Forscan to try it myself. Hopefully Ill get a chance to try it this coming weekend. Let me know if you have any tricks or words of wisdom for me. Ill report back in this thread of my results.
  13. My as built data shows: 726-50-01 0280, which if your chart is right it shows DRL on low beams, which would be as it seems to act.
  14. I saw it said fusion data, but if its the same in Edge, then thanks!
  15. Thanks omar302! Yes the wiring is the same. I have the wiring manual. I had the dealer check and they found a parameter for DRLs, but none for HIDs. The dlr parameter I s only (permanent on or off), which I can already select on my dashboard menu. If anyone can find an exact parameter for HIDs in the Edge, that would be most helpful, as I suspect it also sets the drls to function, with this type of headlight assembly.
