  1. Omar thanks, I know of the other tach but it is not any easier to read than the other tach. I'm going to order a Aeroforce  interceptor gauge that can read most of the data that is available at the obd port including the rpm and boost. One gauge can be programmed to display any two pieces of data. They also have a defroster vent that allows one or two gauges to be mounted on the left side of the dash between the left pillar post and dash.A bit pricey but nice looking and easy to read......Ed

Going by your first time slip your 0-60 mph is 5.5 seconds. I said these things were faster than all the reviews.

On the 1st run I brake torqued it to 1500 rpm and the 2nd about 1800. Looking at the time slips the second run was slightly quicker to the 330 mark may have been close to 5.4 ? then after that the car began to slow.

  3. Gregertech  My ST had about 4800 miles on it and on the first pass the boost peaked at 16 PSI and on the second about 15 psi. It was a bit difficult to read the boost gauge because they have it stuck in the left corner of the instrument panel. They give you 2 speedometers but you can not see the tach and boost gage at the same time! I have run 93 octane since new.Temp was 72 on 1st run and 64 on the 2nd.

  4. Went to Bradenton Dragway yesterday and made a couple passes in my ST time slips are included. The car was driven about 15 miles to the strip and I made the 1st pass about 20 minutes after I got there, so there wasnt much time for cool-down. The car is as it came off the show room floor (no mods) its equipted w/ 401 a cold package and 20" wheels. and i weigh 250lbs and there was approx 35lbs of equipment in back. 1st pass was 14.26 @ 95.59mph. Dont laugh at the .318 reaction time, I have not raced in a year and a half. But I did better on the 2nd pass. The second pass was 14.49 @ 92.26 and i could tell the car was not as fast on this pass, probably heat soaked. I did not try to cool the engine or intercooler befor each pass. But i think 14.26 is pretty good. I wont race again until I get the intercooler and the other parts changed and LMS Dyno Tune when I get home from Florida. I think the ST has the potential to go 14.00 or a little better in stock form with some prep.................................Ed

  5. Cree  There should not be any problem changing the thermostat. I spoke to jake at LMS and ask him if I would have any problem driving from Columbus OH to LMS after installing the therm,Intercooler and cold side pipe and cat back exhaust then drive it up there and get it dyno'd. He said should be OK............Ed

  6. After having my ST for about 4 mos. I'm thinking about adding  aftermarket tach and  boost gauges. The factory gauges are to small and only one can be displayed at a time plus they are stuck in the left corner of the instrument panel.A very poor layout for a performance vehicle and very hard to read. Has any one with a Edge added these ?Any Ideas on what gauges might work  and where to mount them? .................Thanks...Ed

  7. I took the car out on some back roads and tried the select shift for about an hour and did the d s d & s d s modes for about an hour and I can't tell much difference .It still hangs in gears and down shifts w/rev match. Only Drive allows normal upshifts. Manual down shifting is what the shift paddles are for.

  8. My ST is coming up on 1K and I have not been running it to hard, but today I went for a ride and played with the transmission while  doing some runs through the gears. In drive it acts pretty normal. In sport is where things get confusing. I came to a railroad crossing and had to slow down to 20- 25 mph then stepped the accelerator about half way to accelerate back up to 60 but the car would barely accelerate because it was still in 6TH gear.I pushed the peddle down more to get it to down shift but it stayed in 6th causing me manually use the paddles to down shift but it still did not down shift.Driving in sport should be fun! but no it has to be downing shifting and rev-matching.Hell that's  why it has up and down shift paddles. Then there is the shifting at times it acts like it's not sure if it should shift or not .and the shifts  are slow and mushy.Years ago automatics had the nick name of slush box's that seems to me to fit this one. I'm sure this could be greatly improved with programing.I expected better from Ford.I have called ford consumer service and made my opinion clear.Any one else have the same opinion call Ford and let them know.If enough owners complain we can get this resolved for the better.End of rant!

  9. Fingernip I read on a forum that the difference between 87 and 91 was 3 to 5 percent in power and about the same between 91 and 93 octane. I'm not sure it may have come from Livernois. I can say this when I picked up my ST it had a full tank of gas so I drove it for several days and when it got down to 1/8 tank I filled it up with 93. Over the next couple of days I could feel a definite improvement in acceleration.I call the salesman and he said that he had put 87 in it before delivery. As far as all this other stuff, You pays your money and takes your choice.

  10. Ok that makes more sense,You are starting the ST out easy and will set the tunes up a little bit at a time.I have an ST and would like a tune in early spring. I'm getting the parts, intercooler, cold side pipe ,ect} to go with your thernostat, tuner and dyno tune. Please keep us updated on future upgrades...........Thanks Ed

  11. After looking at the dyno charts something does not make sense! Based to the numbers on each chart the 2016 peaked at 91+ hp and 171+ lbs TQ.While the ST only gained 27+hp and 24+lbs tq.Even if you take into account that the ST came from the factory with 20 more hp and 30 more lbs tq (the factory gain was probably  gained by tuning)the 2016 gained 44 more hp and 117 lbs tq than the ST after both had been tuned. Other factors can come into play but 117 lbs of tq. No Way!

  12. I decided to start getting some performance parts  for my St today. This project is going to take until  April to finish because I live in Florida from  January to April then back to Ohio and get the parts installed and dyno'd at Livernois. Here is list of parts I'm ordering this week.

    1.CP-E Rear motor mount

    2.Ultimate performance Garrett Intercooler

    3.Improved coldside intercooler pipe

    4. Livernois 160 thermostat

    5.Livernois custom dyno tune

6.Air bags for the rear suspension

That should give it a bit more performance!

  13. I was driving in light to moderate snow today and had my cruise on when my car began to slow down even though there was no other vehicle or obstacles near me. The instrument showed a warning that my adaptive cruise control was not working.I tried to reset it several times without success. When I pulled in the driveway I checked and the car had a small amount of slush on the front. That must have disabled it.Anyone else have that happen? I wonder what other sensors on the car will not work in bad weather? Anybody else have this problem?
