  1. I got my Edge back with new tank. It had been at the dealer since Nov 2014. I noticed that my brakes are making a funny noise, and I am having to push down quite a bit for the vehicle to stop. I brought this in to my garage and it looks like the material on the pads has pulled away. The mechanic mentioned that he has seen this with older pads. I plan on showing Ford. Has anybody else experienced issues with their vehicle sitting? Has Ford come forward with anything?
  2. I called Ford, and response is consistent with what I am reading above. My Edge started leaking fuel, late November. The dealership has my vehicle since that time. They gave me a Fod Focus, but this is not cutting it. I have an Edge for a reason. To transport my family, groceries, hockey equipment, etc... I called Ford looking for an update, but the representative read off a script. Basically, they are working diligently on the issue and dealer will advise when parts are available. I told them that my vehicle is depreciating on the lot for over a year (because ETA i hear is Sept-Jan). No answer for that. I told them that my vehicle is rusting-out in their lot through a harsh winter. No answer for that. I told them that I am paying for insurance, but I can't use my vehicle. I want to be compensated. They said no and that I should review with my insurance company. I told them that I want a vehicle that is in same class as Edge. I don't want a Focus. They said dealership just has to provide you with a rental. So basically.....nothing from Ford, except for a documented case number. Time to hit Twitter, Media, etc... I have never heard of something like this.
  3. Ford said they had the fix. I sent my car back in for the 4th time. The click came from the other side now. I brought it back in and they fixed the other side. However, after a few weeks of driving, they are clicking as they did since day 1. Customer service is disappointing. Definitely not a priority for ford. Heck they already made the sale, so what do they care. Total BS, because they are selling 20" wheels on the 2009, 2010 vehicles. Instead of replacing these wheels, it seems like they keep spraying some sort of lubricant.
  4. Anybody...any word yet??? This is ridiculous. I bought a brand new vehicle to enjoy it, not to remain frustrated with clicking noises. In my opinion, Ford can't afford to fix their problems. I ask the question again....Why are there new Edges on the lot with these 20" rims? Did they fix the issue?????
  5. I just saw a 2009 on the lot. It has the identical 20" rims that are causing me grief. Do they have a fix, or are they still selling defective equipment. Ford cannot answer this question.
  6. After reading the postings, I can say that I'm not alone. I have the identical clicking noises on slow turns and in park. I have had a total of 3 rims replaced and now I'm waiting on "Ford Engineering". I went to my dealer 5 times and spoke with Ford Canada 3 times. Same story. It is extremely frustrating. My vehicle acted like this 1 week after being brand new. Would you expect to spend this kind of money on a brand new vehicle that is broken? Especially when you paid extra for this option? I am disappointed in Ford. Customer Service is garbage, they do not stand behind their product. Warranty is useless....6 months without a fix? I see New Ford Edges on the lot with the same 20" rims. They either have a fix, or they continue to sell junk at added cost. Again...good for the reputation. Things like this don't help Ford in these difficult times.
