With the windshield as wide as it is, plus a VISTA roof - I can expect to find the interiors heat fairly quick esp with charcoal leather.
So far - my limited use of the AC has been fine.. but I don't like it very cold....
I will keep an eye on as the weather in the Great White North gets warmer
YES - it can get into high 90s with high humidity... yuck
-
Ahhh.. the joys of modern conveniences....
Funny - we all want our "toys" - but when we have to pay out for them... OUCH....
-
oops.. thats right it is metric..
Converted 11.9 = almost 20mpgs - 12.6 = 19 mpgs..
I try to get more highway driving in during this "new" stage - to help improve..
Its not that far off my 2001 toyota - it was a 3.0 200hp.
-
Well.. I guess that ends " honey - let me drive it this time".....
Awesome - what a statement - they liked their first Edge so much - they got another!!!!
Neighbours must be green with envy - enjoy - it is an awesome ride....
-
The other item I noticed while watching the fuel ticker - Edge saves fuel when driving 100km or less and about 1500 rpms - thats when my ticker starts dropping.
It got to as low 11.9 on the highway - the creeps back up on the weekends when I drive city more.
-
Those headrests were changed specifically to get the 5 star crash rating.
As my brother and his friends work the line - they gave me the info - the original head rest was different but fell short for crash testing.
As I am short - they work perfectly for me.
-
I can keep my Edge under 2000 rpms - I reset my computer on my last tank, and kept my accelerations in check. Average speed is about 40kms - I drive a mix of city/highway about 50/50. I am at about 360 miles per tank -
I find the city driving hardest to control - the stops and starts do drive up the fuel ticker -
I left my avg fuel consumption on the computer while I drove - you can see how it floats up and down and how it fits into your driving habits - its neat to watch.
Of course my edge just crossed the 1000 mile mark -and mileage is improving - I can't complain
-
Enjoy - its well worth the wait.

"I am hot for an EDGE"
Wooohooo... could you imagine if he was "hot" in an Edge - lots of room in the cargo area... auto fold down seats.. open the BAMR...
F%^^#$* - getting hot just thinking about it...
:yup:

Im only 5'1 - headrests not even an issue for me..
Thanks for the comparison.. I gave up my toyota coupe which I loved - but the Edge surpasses all my expectations.
I love the power, the smoothness, the amazing quietness - it is a fantastic looking vehicle.
And I love all my new "toys" - which are a helluv of a lot more than my 2001 coupe had.
Keep on driving... I think your appreciation for the Edge will grow.
-
If you have read through the postings, then you have a pretty good idea about any "issues". Personally I have no issues with my Edge - drives great - love the AWD. People notice 2 things first:
1. My awesome sunroof - it blows them away.
2. The ride - its quiet, comfy, and powerful.
Vist blueovalforums.com for any further insights - there is a Edge forum there. Once you order, you can post your VIN and track your Edge's progress.
Good Luck

It was your Edge enthusiam.... no worries.. I have gotten caught up in it too.
I am impressed with number of new owners joining - thats sooo cool.
-
I think is Cdn - 8kms on the odometer.. not 8000.....
-
I hope those lurking here for Edge info - pick up on the fact that the Japanese are not faultless with their vehicles.
I think your notes just makes the point - Ford can make and did make a very competitive vehicle with the Edge. In spite of all those "toys" that people like to have (and complain they dont have with the Edge - bluetooth, reverse camera, powerlift gate) - this is a GREAT RIDE.
So... if you are not spoiled for your techie toys - Edge is more than enough vehicle for the general population.

I was serialized within 2 days - I think it depends on what build cycle you are getting. My dealer said..get me order by tomorrow am and I will get it into the next build cycle - and it still took 6 weeks.
The dealers do get weekly updates and know which cycle. Serializing is complete when they can identify all your car components... so it could be a quick production once all is lined up
Call back weekly... to keep them on their toes... and once you get a VIN - see blueovalforums.com for tracking.
good luck

I have called the Creme Brulee - the "chick" colour....
-
Yippeee a conquest...
You should tell us more about why you are giving up a fairly recent Murano for the Edge.
What made you do it?
I would have considered the Murano if there was no Ford Edge. Did you test drive an Edge?
Thanks in advance
-
For vista roof - weak solution of vinegar and water to remove the hard water drops...
Awesome colour aint it?
-
You have extremely great taste in vehicles...
Mine is exactly the same - colours and all - I love it.. welcome aboard
-
Edge Driving is addictive - love the handling on AWD - corners on a dime -
It's an impressive looking vehicle - I think given the many I see on the road this spring... its an obvious hit.
Anyone reading this forum and reading critical reviews - go test drive it... see for yourself - its so much better than the critics acknowledge.
-
So you received your Edge on May 4th, didn't you.
I know he got his... we have traded messages.... but since then... "poof"
-
Whats your average speed? Im at an average speed of 38km - getting 14.2 right now...
on third tank - doing about 300kms per week....I think I might reset my computer calculation....

Hello,
Would someone please help me track my Edge (or post my VIN on BlueOval for me)? I have tried to register under two separate names and E-mails addys, but for some reason it is not going through today. I can read the post so if it is there I can track the answers just cannot post without registration.
I would appreciate any help I could get on this.
VIN 2FMDK39C17BB15706
SEL Creme Brule
Thanks in Advance.
