  1. I also had this TSB applied today and it has so far addressed my transmission issues. The big one for me was the 3-4 upshift flare and so far it is definitely gone. Havent tried sport mode yet after the reflash, but I'll give it a go tomorrow. It does seem more responsive in general though. Cross my fingers.
  2. Thanks Jamie! I'll ask to get this done when I schedule service.
  3. I've been having very similar issues to you on the transmission in the last month or so. Definitely was not there when I first got it. The worst thing is what appears to be a transmission slip between 3-4 for me. Under dry roads hard or soft acceleration load the car will buck with what feels like no power on that shift for about a second. Engine revs high until the 4th gear catches and will continue as normal. Build date for me was January of this year. Did you get the transmission TSB applied to yours? if so did it help? going to try and get mine in this week.

    Battery issues

Just an update here in case it helps anyone else, had the dealership do a parasitic draw test and test the battery itself. The parasitic draw test came back negative, but the battery itself failed load testing so they replaced the battery under warranty. Crazy that a battery would fail in 4 months of ownership so hopefully it's just an oddity. Will update this thread if anything further happens down the road. Thanks for all the replies and feedback!

    Battery issues

Thanks 1004ron! much appreciate the advice and feedback. I'll follow up on the battery load testing see if there is anything there. Sounds like I may be in the minority on this issue so something unique going on.

    Battery issues

Hi All, I've had my ST now for about 4 months, it's been very reliable up to a few days ago. For some reason if I don't drive the ST for a day, the next day I'll come out in the morning to start or get in the car and the battery will be completely dead. This has now happened twice in the last 3 days. I haven't changed anything on the car, it is stock, the only thing I have plugged in is my ipod in the front console (wireless charging compartment). I've had that thing plugged in there since day 1 of ownership. I've been able to go multiple days in the past without driving it and it starts up fine. Is anyone else seeing continuous dead battery issues on their ST's? I don't think it's unreasonable to think I can leave drive my car for a couple of days and not have it die on me. Thanks!
  7. Thanks vmaxbaby, that's the same as what I have, wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Doesn't seem as sturdy as what 2FAST4U posted (which is what I thought it was), but thanks for confirming all the same.
  8. Hi Everyone, Does anyone here have the cargo accessory package on your ST? I'm trying to figure out what the "Rear Bumper Protector" component is. My ST has the retractable cargo cover and the cargo mat but I don't see any rear bumper protector. Expecting to see a hard plastic piece on the lip of the read bumper in front of the cargo area, but all I have what looks like a 3M type piece of film there. Just want to confirm what you all are seeing, it's also not clear on the Ford website as the picture doesn't show much of the rear bumper. Thanks!
  9. Thanks all for the replies and advice! The comment on the boost control does make me more comfortable iamie1073. This car is actually also a dealer trade, but the distance between the dealerships is only 25 - 30 km, so it doesn't account for it all. Either way I'm not going to sweat it. Good thought though ben, on the flip side I guess that also means if you were happy in the performance on a test drive, you'll likely only be happier down the road!
  10. Thanks for all the replies this helps a lot! The 70 km is definitely high, this is going to be a short term lease for me though so I'm not as concerned over long term reliability from poor break-in. However I really don't know how those kilometers were driven, so last thing I want is some huge power train failure where my car is out of action for an extended period of time while I have it. But still being under 100 km, not sure if I'm making a mountain out of a molehill...
  11. Hi All, New user here, community looks great! I'm about to finalize a deal on a new Edge ST, however I noticed the odometer on the car is at 70km/43 miles. The dealer insists the car has never been used as a demo, and that they test drive the vehicle out of the factory. Even with transportation and PDI this still seems high to me. Wanted to ask the owners here what was your mileage on the car when you took delivery? Thanks!
