Have you considered powder coating your wheels? If you went with black the blue caliper covers would look hot! Or you could simply have your calipers powder coated..... :)

Both options are great - but more effort than I want to put into it, lol

Got an 03 Cobra in my garage too :)  No spray paint for that one.  Still has all stock brakes with only 18K miles on it.

Nice! Mine only has 24k, the only thing that has been changed is the oil and tires - still have the original wiper blades on!  Borla Stingers and K&N cold air intake are the only mods, and I still have the OEM of those in the attic.

would powder coating be better and last longer YES.. but I painted calipers on a 03 Cobra and they looked great for about 6 months than the bright red started to fade (because of heat I am sure) so always had to touch them up.

Now  I won't be doing track days with the Edge ST it is my daily driver but they will be fine for normal use and they are of good quality so they don't look bad IMO but others may disagree.    Yes they do cost $ 300.00 but I spent 39K on the Edge ST, 45K on the GT500 and at least another 10K in mods on the Shelby since I have owned it and don't ask how much I blew on the my other mustangs :(   so $ 300.00 on the edge isn't a big deal to me.

These two statements are EXACTLY how I feel!  I talked to my detail guy and he would be more than happy to paint them, but he flat out said it's not going to last - he was the one who suggested the covers to me.

The ST is my daily driver, if I wanted to go to the track, I'd be taking my 03 Cobra Terminator ;)

  4. I really, really, really wanted the red on color-matched blue  - but once I designed them online, I don't think I really care for it, sigh.  Heavily leaning towards the black on red... but I'm also a 45 year old woman, and I don't want people shaking their heads and mumbling wtf, haha

I have the same color car and ordered the red last week with white letters but was thinking about silver or black but went with white.

did you get them from calipercovers.com ???  If so, I may just wait until you get yours before ordering mine, lol

  6. I can't be bothered with an app, so I'm going by the cars display for fuel mileage. I'm happy with getting 23... Having said that, I have no doubt that if I drove like a normal person and not a race car driver, I'd be pulling 25+.   But if I wanted to drive like a normal person, I would've bought a normal car,  ?

  7. It seems as though this thread died - but I discovered the forum only today and just read all 7 pages of this topic.  Wondered how you're currently making out, @jamie1073

I live in NEPA - cold winters and lots of hills.  I drive 60 miles round trip to work 5 days a week, typically driving between 75-85 mph (on roads with speed limits of 45-55 mph.... shhhhh, yes, I know my time is coming).  I am a RIDICULOUSLY aggressive driver, which I know affects gas mileage.  I currently have a little over 7k miles on it, and my average MPG is around 23 running 87 octane gas (now, since I'm not remote starting during the winter - then the average was around 22).  I ran 3 tanks of 93 octane about a thousand miles ago, and MPG only bumped up to 24, and I honestly did not notice any performance improvement at all - so I'm back to 87 again.
