  1. Hi everyone. My Edge just started doing this thing where when I go to start the vehicle, it starts to crank as normal, however, at the point where I would let go (because the truck has started up), it continues to crank on its own. I haven't let it do this for very long, perhaps 5 or 6 seconds at most, before I switch the key to off. I wait a couple of seconds, then attempt to start again, at which point it starts up immediately as normal. I feel like I should mention also that the only thing I've noticed that is a little "off" is that since this cranking issue began, when I start the truck normally, it sounds/feels like it's just a hair sluggish, kind of like how it feels when the battery is going bad or something. Incidentally, my battery is most certainly not going bad, it's no more than a year old, if that. Can someone tell me what the possible causes are of this excessive cranking issue?? Thank you!
  2. I've noticed the last week or so that when I'm parked and idling, my AC will sometimes stop working and the air no longer blows cold. I can hear the compressor kicking on but it doesn't cool the air. I'll have to put it in drive and start driving around before it gets cold again. Is my AC compressor going bad? I'm in a 2008 Ford Edge Limited w 157k miles

  4. Thanks for detailing your experience. I have the exact same truck, the 08 limited and I shared this with my boyfriend and he thought it was very informative.
  5. Hi, so when I have my AC turned on, it seems like the blower is.....struggling. That's the only way I know to describe it. The blower comes on at all speed levels, all position settings work, i.e. Floor, vent, combo. Sometimes I'll have it set to blow on the highest setting, yet, there will barely be any air coming out of the vents. And also I've had the AC on a med blower setting, and then while driving or while sitting there idling (it's happened in both circumstances) I'll hear the blower kick up a couple notches as if it's been restricted somehow and it just freed up. What's the deal?? Just need some suggestions on what it could possibly be. Thanks in advance!
