  1. Good idea. A small plastic bag over the connector works well also.
  2. I finally was able to disable the auto handsfree liftgate on the MKX. I was fed up with getting clunked on the head with inadvertent closes. There is a single wire harness to the right of center between the muffler and stone pan. A tad awkward to get at. Simply disconnect this and the auto feature is disabled. All other liftgate controls (tailgate buttons, keyfob and dash) are as normal. Better yet, this saves a lawsuit. JacobZ06
  3. I likely would have preferred a machined lip but I kept these wheels from my Explorer when I traded it on the MKX. So this is the look with a machined lip: Jacob
  4. A cloudy day in the Pacific Northwest, but an opportunity for a soft lighting photoshoot. The car is sporting our winter wheel/tire setup. The ride is actually improved over the factory 21 inch Pirellis with these taller sidewall 20 inch Michelins running 33 PSI. Jacob
  5. Did my own with plastic plugs from a local supplier and custom mixed spray paint using the OEM paint code. Also did plate frames front & rear. Paint from local supplier was about $30 and included clear in the mix. Front plate frame is mounted using a recycled Sto 'n Sho bracket, available online. Jacob
  6. That is the most coherent answer I have seen on the topic. Thank you.
  7. Another image from our recent 1st MKX photo shoot.... .....near our preferred park. Jacob
  8. A great day for a photo shoot and fairly close to home. The paint has been nano coated with CarPro Essence Plus. This car we have named "The Eagle", because of the look of the headlight and grille section. I was hooked on the Iced Mocha colour and the wheels at first sight. Liking this car more each day. Jacob
