    Exhaust issues

It was the resonator. I took it to a local muffler shop and they put it up on the lift and the rattling was coming from inside of the resonator. The oem is 'double' resonator has two parallel pipes through it so they cut it out and replaced it with two universal bottle resonators. No more rattle. It sucks that it cost me $180 for something that is covered under warranty though... I almost had them delete the resonator (would have been $110 labor) but it is my wife's car and is leased - so I decided to keep it quiet. On different topic, my front rotors need replacing after only 17k miles. The dealer tried to resurface them but I still get vibrations when they heat up. The car does not get driven hard and it is not the big brake package but still...

    Exhaust issues

My first exhaust (2019 Edge ST) was replaced after 1 year when it developed a very load rattling noise. One year later, the same noise has returned and the dealer is saying that the exhaust is cracked near the flex joint and that the part is on backorder with no expected date (supply chain issue). This is very annoying and embarrassing as it is a very load rattling noise that can be heard in the cabin and from afar... I would normally consider a Borla but this car is leased and I probably won't keep it beyond next October when the lease ends. I might bring it to a local muffler shop and see if the can temporarily fix the issue until the new exhaust comes in. Anyone else have this issue?
  3. Fingernip, What part of CT? I am in Norwalk. I see at least a few Raptors a week. There are 3 parked at my train station everyday and they are so wide they don't fit in the parking lines. LOL.
  4. I've been in my Edge ST now for a bit over two months and have enjoyed every minute of ownership so far. It replaced a 2016 BMW X1 and the ST blows it away in almost every aspect except a few fit & finish details (I found a few small paint imperfections and the driver side rear taillight housing gets condensation in it and it squeaks against the rear fender). But otherwise the engine, performance, comfort, and technology, have all exceeded my expectations! My other vehicle is a 2006 Volvo S60R. I find a similarity with the Edge ST in that they are both "wolves in sheep's clothing"... and RARE. I am a contributor at the S60R swedespeed.com forum and we have a thread for S60R sightings. It seems silly... but we get all giddy when we see another S60R on the road or even in a parking lot - kinda like a unicorn sighting! And we occasionally get a "That was me!" reply. LOL I have yet to see another Edge ST on the road. Has anyone come across another ST other than at the dealership lot?
  5. I take delivery on a new 2019 Edge ST at the end of the month. Should I insist they update the PCM with the 9-2313 update before I take delivery? Or should I wait and see if my vehicle exhibits any of the symptoms described? In other words, is this TSB a software update? Or is it more like a remedy that only fixes vehicles with issues? PS - I am very excited to get behind the wheel!
