  1. Also took my 2008 Ford Edge Limited to my local dealer on Tuesday. As expected the heater core was replaced and I can tell you that I don't remember to own a car that gets so warm in the winter. My local dealer has done a Super Job and they even took time to wash it as well as cleaning the inside.
  2. Bringing my Ford Edge 2008 to my local dealership next week, it appears that no TSB is currently available for this low heat issue except a message on the Ford Oasis system. When searching on the WEB, I have noticed quite a few complaints similar to mine. If someone from Ford is on this forum, let's hope that he can provide more details about this problem.
  3. I'm having a problem with my heating system on my ford Edge 2008, when I visited my local dealership on Monday, He told me that my issue could be related to a bad heater core. I'm getting a little bit of warm air from the driver side vents and cool air from the passenger side. It appears this heater core issue is currently being investigated by the Ford engineering department. I'm kind of disappointed that eventually I will be required to see a major tear down of my instrument panel to get this heater core replaced especially when you know that the vehicle is almost brand new. Do you know if there is any other option being considered to avoid a heater core replacement ? Is the core clogged due to a mechanical failure or simply by an unwanted chemical reaction ?
  4. I have a similar problem on mine, a little bit of warm air from the driver side vents and cool air on the passenger side. I'm also being told by my local dealership that it's related to a heater core issue still under investigation by the engineering dept. at Ford. As you mentionned, replacing the heater core is a major tear down which requires to strip down the entire instrument panel. Personnally, I don't like this because of the risk of damaging trims and getting possible rattles from the dashboard afterward. It appears at this stage that no other option including reverse flush of the heater core would avoid that major tear down. Really disapointed when you know that it's almost a brand new vehicle.
