I would usually like to the opposite! On my pervious vehicle, I installed a switch to be able to prevent the front dome/map light from turning on with doors open when needed. Sometimes I'd want to exit the vehicle without showing everything inside! Thankfully newer Fords have a switch for it.
How did you do this ? I hate the fact that the dome lights shine everything i have in the car at night when i turn off my edge or when i open the door

I live in San Luis Potoso mexico and it is extremely expensive to replace the whole unit. Can someone give me a link to only the fan motor or some advise as to how I can fix it
Unfortunately it seems like the only way to really fix it is to replace it

Could be the little motor giving out ! I had taken mine in for service and luckily it happened under warranty.

Hello I bought a set of 65lbs 600cc injectors from DW to run E85 but because of some unforeseen circumstances i will need to sell all aftermarket parts for my edge.
They went on my 3.7 awd and saw approximately 600-700 miles of E85 and 93 pump.
not looking to get full price, just need enough to buy stock injectors. Thank you.

3.7 V6 on my edge has k&n intake and muffler delete. Sounds pretty throaty. Thinking of putting it back on and running no cats for the pops

Yeah i just got my front and rear set of shocks and struts from summit Racing Equipment. B6 all the way around. I did notice some metal on metal sound when i go through bumps. I believe it’s the bushings but i could be wrong. If anybody has an idea please let me know. It’s kinda driving me crazy lol

i contacted Bilstein about the B6 being paired up with H&R springs. They were actually quite rude lol they mentioned B6 series is only for factory springs only. They said they don’t and will not be offering a B8 (shorter to accommodate for lowering springs) for the ford edge. -
Yeah I don’t really have a reason to keep them around. They no longer have the tpms in them. I took them off them and switched them on to my new wheels. I had discount tire break them down, take the sensor out, then put the tire back on the wheel.

Yes i do. I am the second owner of the edge. There was slight damage on the wheels from the previous owner (probably because of the lower profile tire they had). It didn’t bother me because i knew I’d get a new set of wheels and tires anyway.

They aren’t exactly fogs .. they are definitely for off road use only. Too bright. Once i rigged it all up i knew i messed up lol
i wired a switch into the bottom left of the steering wheel so i can turn it only when I’m on long stretches of road. They are combo lights so the top and bottom rows are for flood lights and the middle is for spot light. Definitely up there in brightness with my aftermarket 55w hid kit

I bought a pair on nilight offroad 120w 6in light bars . i wanted to insert them on the lower grill to make it look oem. I’ve having trouble mounting them as the supplied mounts aren’t really meant for the edge.

After various diagnostic attempts etc, I will say that they did right by me, and gave me a full refund when requested.
I have heard of BCB but they mostly work on boosted applications and unfortunately for me I’m not boosted... yet ;)
in all seriousness i have heard good things about them as well from a buddy of mine with a SHO. I’m currently looking at other tuners than the one i have because i feel like the one i currently run is a bit conservative. I run a catless system with Magnaflow catback. I want some pops and bangs when I’m on decel. I know gas mileage goes down but honestly on E85 I’m getting about 18 highway and 12 city so I’ll get used to it.

Mmm I wouldn’t say sweet, it definitely smells burn. Like burning rubber, belt, wires. I checked all in the engine bay and can’t for the life of me find the root. I might give in and take it to a dealer where i know they’ll probably charge $100 just to take a look at it. We’ll see though.
It’s 3:20am currently and i just finished installing the injectors and reflashed the ecu. Took it out for a drive and it runs great. Granted I installed the 93 tune to support the new injectors. I have about 1/4 of a tank so I’ll probably finish it tomorrow and try some E85 at my local pump. -

Is LMS Good ? They’re based off in the UK right ? I’ve seen their 2nd gen edge on yt and it look real nice !

The rated hp claimed by ford is using 93 octane, you can use less because the computer will compensate for the knock and such, it doesn't mean that 87 is good for it. This is normal due to the turbo system. It dissipates over time, the more often it is worked hard the faster it goes away. Granted it took 5000 to 8000 miles, can't remember exactly where I quit smelling it. I mostly noticed it outside the vehicle though, wasn't often it came through the vents.
That sounds about right.. until I realize I don’t have a turbo model lol. I have a 2013 Edge sport with 3.7 v6
mine hasn’t always been like that though , it wasn’t smelly before but now it is. Could it be something cat related ? I’ve heard of people having issues where they get exhaust leaks into the cabin. It doesn’t smell like exhaust though , definitely a rubberish smell.

also wanted to point out there’s a foul smell coming from the vents when i go WOT. I can’t identify it at all. It’s this rubber smell and I can’t locate it. I’ve checked them belts and they seem good. They don’t seem chewed up, torn up, or worn out really. When I’m idling or just under regular throttle it’s fine. Heck even when I’m 75% throttle you can barely smell it. It’s once i give it the beans that it smells pretty weird. I haven’t tried it with the ac off because i almost always run with it on. Could that be something that could cause it?

Are you tuned for it ? I didn’t feel much difference between 87(regular) 93(premium)until i got it tuned. It was a small but noticeable jump

I’m in Texas , we got 93 here but it’s up to like $2.99/gallon im some areas. E85 pumps here are down to $1.50/gallon depending where you go.

Torrie over from unleashedtuning.com said i would be good with just injectors for now but i will definitely look into a pump in the near future. Have you had any issues with E, if you have it ?

Today i got 65lbs injectors from Deatschwerks. Got my tune ready and will be installing the injectors this weekend and filling up with E85. Does anybody have any experience with running E ? Any pros or cons ? Anything to watch out for ?

Yes anything on the windshield other than the strip is illegal. The front doors and the other hand is not. Well not everywhere. I understand in some places they don't let you have any sort of tint. I live in Texas. My county is very lenient on tint. I had 1% all the way around with 20% on the windshield and the 5% strip.
Then again i have a medical tint exemption so ??♂️
