  1. Supersixmotorsports.com has cams for the 3.7 at $1400.  I wanted to see how it would sound before dropping that kind of cash on the edge. My exhaust consist of gutted cats, still have the mid muffler/resonator, and pipe to replace the muffler in the back. Running the ghost cam would simulate what a 3.7 with cams would sound like. As for the popcorn tune,  i don’t get the pops and crackles i would like so i wanted to get a tune for it. I’ve heard retarding ignition and stopping the ECU from cutting fuel right after decel would help with that.

  2. Hello , i was wondering if anybody has done some custom tuning ? I was told the 3.7 in the edge sport has the same twin-independent variable cam timing as the 3.7 in the mustang. This would allow it to be able to run a “ghost cam” also was wondering if anybody has experience was pops and bangs on their tune also know as a popcorn tune or tommy gun tune. This is where the tuner retards ignition and stops the ECU from cutting fuel after decel. This is all assuming you don’t have cats. As they could mess them up if you have them and run this

  3. As promised here are the 20x10 fathom stern wheels. Tires are Toyo proxes st3 . I actually ended up getting another set of tires which are 275/50R20 . These look great , no spacers, no rubbing just the slightest of poke. Great handling so far and just today i have gotten a handful of compliments. Definitely way more than the oem wheels which people thought were aftermarket due to the size. I still have them but might sell them to make up some cash back.

I finally finished installation of fog lights on my 2013 Edge (with lots of help from my trusted mechanic of some 20 years or so). Thanks for your suggestions and photos along the way. Here are some photos of the final result:

I have not been satisfied witih the low beam headlights from day 1. Addition of the fog lights really improves the light pattern, especially off to the side when turning around corners.

i know this is an old post but does anybody have a link to these or a good set of fogs. Was initially thinking of just putting some flood lights and running a rocker style switch to the dash but these look great as well !

Dont know if it matters, but fog lights are not supposed to be super bright. Their purpose is to provide illumination only at the edge of the road.

In inclement weather, your vision is extremely limited. Under such conditions, its assumed that your travelling at a very low speed, 10-15 mph, and fog lamps are designed to  light the edge of the road; not the driving lane. If you can find the side of the road, you know your not driving left of center.

I think what your looking for are additional headlights. These would be illegal in all states.

Oh I absolutely understand. Where i live there isn’t much fog . Mostly open country roads. The lightning out here at night is horrendous. Not many street lamps. This isn’t something I’ll be running 24/7 but definitely thought I’d be a cool look to add some real bright lights and integrate them into the grill or something.

It is best if you can run without the spacers and still have clearance, but some people like the look of wheels and tires sticking out some. I prefer to have everything even to keep mud and water in the wheel wells and off the side of the car. I still would like to see some photos when you get around to it.

I also like the flush look but spacers we’re actually not mine . I borrowed them for 2 weeks from a good buddy of mine. Just wanted to see how it would look .

Can you please post some photos of your car with the new rims and tires. I am interested in fitting my car with 295 tires as well. Can you included all the rim specs... manufacturer & rim name - size - offset - cost - and tire size 295 by 40 or 35 or? Do they fit well, or rub anyplace, or stick out beyond the body? Thanks.

i only have pictures of the old set up after the lowering springs. I will have some pictures taken this weekend by a buddies new camera !  The wheels are Fathom Stern 20x10 with 38mm offset. I picked them up from bbwheelsonline.com. The tires are Toyo Proxes 295/40R20. No rubbing for me. I do have spacers so they poke just a little bit. Might take them off and see how it runs without them.

    Hello,

2013 Ford Edge Sport 3.7L FWD Push button start. Ive been coming to this forum lurking for over a year since ive had my edge. Im wanting to mod it now. From what i can tell this is one of the least modding vehicles ive had. Not much is made for it. Im in alabama. Im looking to order some stuff and get it all done at one time. Can anyone get me links to things that are needed.

H&R Lowering Springs. Found them on amazon but says 1-3 month delivery time. No thanks. Where else can i order them?

Magnaflow Exhaust - Found on Amazon, $765.00 - Waiting for 20% off magnaflow coupon like Dingo Said.

Ive also heard that if you get a CAI / Exhaust get a throttle body or something? Can anyone elaborate with links to the product i need.

To get the most out of all those components you need a tune, So SCT? Does anyone have a link to that tuner also with the setup programmed in?

    2) bbk 73mm throttle body
    3) fuel injectors for e85 (600cc)

    7) Tune

  9. Hello . I have a 2013 Sport Awd.

i have switched mostly all my lights in the interior and exterior to led. I’ve always wanted fog lights on my edge but unfortunately it only came in the drl. Which are mediocre at best. I was wondering if anybody has installed some fog lights on their vehicles and if so how they wired it. I’m not looking for spotlights or anything like that . I’m looking for something i can switch out the bulbs to some super bright led. Not sure if it makes a lot of sense but the vision i have is definitely a great look. I was thinking i could maybe cut some of the lower grill to install the fogs.

I just purchased a new to me used 2014 Edge Sport AWD.  Had to replace tires and also bought nee wheels.  Did i make a mistake going with the 22s?  It looks like a lot of people going to 20s.  That also increases options for wheels and tires.

    Did I screw up?

I was debating going smaller for a while now. I just bought a 20x10 wheel with a 295 wide tire. Weight was cut in half on each corner and they ride amazing. Definitely s lot more peppy and about 3mpg more

I was wondering if anyone knew how compatible the Edge Sport 3.7L is to the 2013 Mustang V6 for partand what not. I wanted to get a aftermarket exhaust and some other things but I just needed to know if I can go ahead and purchase the dual flowmaster 60 catback exhaust that is used for the mustang. Also, does anyone know where I can purchase some Angel Eye Xenon headlights for an edge? Thank you for your time...

Hello, I’m aware this is an older post but yes there is quite a bit of aftermarket support for the ford edge. I have a tuned 3.7 , k&n intake, fuel injectors for e85, lowering springs from h&r, colder thermostat, and an exhaust.
you also mentioned hid , i bought mine from a company called innovated on amazon. Really good pair of hid kits. Have lasted me quite a while now

Has anyone on the Forum installed lowering springs? Just purchased a 2013 Sport last week and installing H&R sports spring next week, should lower front about 2 inches and rear about 1 1/2 inches. if anyone has installed aftermarket spring I would love to see some pictures.

i know this is an older post but i lowered my edge and switched out the factory 22 with a 20x10 wheel. Sits nice

Folks I am looking to replace my OEM air filter and have always gone with a K&N drop in. I have looked at the "Green" filters as well "dry" filters that are out there. Does anyone have any experience with either being good or bad? I had a Volant CAI on a GMC that I had and LOVED it. They do not make anything for the Edge as of yet. It's a 2013 Sport FWD that all I am really interested in is more air flow, reliability, and possibly a little more "growl" when I stomp on it (I am aware of the air box delete). Any help is appreciated. :sos:

i have k&n intake in my edge. Huuuge difference. Could really hear that thing sucking up the air at WOT.

  14. Yeah i have this issue as well . I have the awd sport and when i press the button after fueling, it seems like it turns over but doesnt actually want to turn on. It happens every single time i fill up with gas. It takes at least two times of trying to turn over for the engine to start. Not the battery in my situation because I’ve replaced it 200miles ago

    2013 AWD.

The transmission was shifting strangely and skipping gears at 89,000 miles. I was told I needed the transmission replaced. I opted for a used transmission from a reputable auto parts place (LKQ in Wisconsin) rather than a remanufactured unit since I had planned on selling the car this spring. The new to me transmission has 63,000 miles on it and a brand new torque converter was put in, both by the Ford dealer. The new transmission shifts like the old did a few months ago when I suspected something was amiss. The dealer test drove it and said it is normal  and kept reassuring me there was a 12 month 12000 mile warranty if something bad should happen. I consistently got 24mpg highway prior to the replacement. Driving the same highway route immediately after replacement 4 weeks ago and continuing to this day, I am lucky to get 17mpg highway. The dealer has no answer for that. How can I lose 7+mpg from a transmission change?

      Transmission Filter

I have a 2013 ford edge and I wanted to know if the transmission filter ever needs to be changed or are they good for the life of the vehicle. Any advice would be appreciated.

i have a 2013 ford edge sport awd. I haven’t had transmission issues but have noticed 17mpg  on city drives and 20mpg on highway with cruise control on.

  16. It’s been years since a post here.. but i have a 2013 Ford Edge sport awd. I’ve done a tune with torrie over at unleashed tuning as well as a k&n intake. I’m wanting to know about more 3.7 mustang parts that’ll fit the edge. I’m interested in switching over to E85. Talked to my tuner and they said it’s possible with a few modifications (fuel pump, lines, and injectors).

  17. I see.. well being that it’s the 3.7 found in the mustang, would it be possible to switch some things over ? I was talking with my tuner and they said i would be able to get onto e85 with a few modifications (fuel pump, line, and injectors). I don’t know why but I’ve always loved that police interceptor explorer look and wanted to get some 18in steelies for it and get it on different tires. Being as the current 265/40R22 arent exactly the smoothest or eco friendly out there.
