I just bought a 2018 EDGE Sport and as you have all found: the brakes are over-boosted and way too touchy to use.
This really irks me as in hitting the brake in a "dangerous" situation, I find that I'm Over-Braking. The sudden "jerk" on
on passengers is very uncomfortable and as one member noted: a HANS Device could be needed.
Further, I like a pedal that takes some pressure and can be modulated. Bouncing off the ABS is not a driving technique.
My Porsche track-car takes about 150+ lbs to work, but modulation is great.
The ONLY solution that I can see is installing HARDER BRAKE PADS. Hard pads (racing maybe) will take more pressure to work
offer better modulation and lessen the "OOPS, I hit the brakes" behavior.
