You can unplug the DPFE and test drive. This may tell you the concern is in the EGR system. BTW, usually will not set a code if it's at fault.

The update turned off a couple features and changed color on display, very minor.

Oh it loaded , but seems to be a few bugs.

I am 72 yrs old and I guess I can't read directions. I have sync 3, version 3 .2, I should have formatted the USB to a FAT storage. Instead of NTFS. Is there a way to uninstall the update? Thanks.

Still no-go. Thanks all.

I did replace the battery, I will def try the e-slot.
-
Well, it's not responding. It was worth a shot. Thanks all.

Thanks folks. If this works. I will let you know.

Anyone able to get remote key fob apart? Wife washed it. Oh, 2019 Edge.
-
Yep, I will do that thanks.

Has anyone found or recommend a CD player that plugs in the usb port. I see some on Amazon. Just don't know anything about them.

It is very frustrating, you would think that everything, driveability related, would set a code. Not so. Someone told me that a few issues were found with moisture in the egr valve assy. The symptoms are pretty much the same as we are experiencing. But, other issues can mimic these. I unplugged my egr valve and my problem disappeared. Dealer replace EGR parts*******so far, so good.

Oh, no I won't leave it unplugged. BTW, I am getting 29.6 mpg, every one else about the same? 2019 with 2.0L Also, will replace the EGR, SENSOR AND TUBES that the sensor hooks up to.
-
Unplugged my EGR valve. Surge/hitching gone. Maybe that will fix it, will let you all know. BTW should be covered under power train warranty.

45,000 mi. No change, problem persists.

I had tech hook up a copilot, according to him , it didn't give him any info, although the vehicle did malfunction, we had a total of eight recordings. My wife wants to get rid of it. I think we might.

What octane fuel is everyone using? Wonder if it could be fuel related. I use regular at 87 and I am going to try a higher octane.

Toby99, I would present that letter to the service manager, also ask if he would submit a hotline request, if they don't find the problem.
-
Well I had tech drive the vehicle and run tests again and he checked everything that he could with his computer plugged in and nothing, of course, so I submitted a hotline request. I doubt they will have the answers. At this point, I may get a horse. Like many of you, I am not happy.

With the last TSB performed in March, I feel the problem is worsening, going to try to have dealer take a hard look at it. Wish me luck.

After TSB-21-2081 performed in March. Condition is no better. Real disappointed in Ford.
