We must all be on the elderly side of the scale to remember these excellent machines. My friend had a '72 GT 750, I had a '72 CB 500. We eluded the local constabulary on a few occasions that summer for reason I won't elaborate on.
Well if I said I've owned it since 1981 it'll give you an idea of how old I am too!

WOW that looks brand new - I remember them - they were legend one of the first bikes to go water cooled - I couldn't afford one of those in that era and had its smaller brother the GT250 Ram Air, then later the Kawasaki Z1000.
Thanks Ron. It's not new, or restored - just looked after during the 42 years I've owned it.

These are Nice! Are the HID-LED Halogen?
Thanks. They're the standard equipment lights for the ST-Line. As far as I know they are halogen headlamps with combined LED daytime driving lights/indicators. The foggies are halogen (I think).

What's the roof-rack you've got fitted there? I've not been able to find one that will fit an Edge with the panoramic roof.

Does the Euro Edge have adaptive lights to switch between LHD and RHD?
Hi Omar.
Yes. You can change the headlamps on the touchscreen to suit both left hand and right hand traffic. Very useful and does away with having to buy those horrible deflector stickers that you had so much difficulty getting rid of once you got home!

NICE! Not too many in that color around me... are those wheels the 21"?
Thanks. No Edges of any colour around me! They are that rare. I see another one on the road about once a month at most!
They're 20" wheels - standard for the ST-Line over here.

Interesting. I'd not heard that. I put front and rear on my car earlier this year and didn't really notice any difference in wind noise at all. But then again, my hearing's not too good after a lifetime of attending loud concerts and riding motorbikes!

Car looks good all in black.
Don't you have wind deflectors for the rear windows too?

Nice colour scheme

It looks great, but doesn't it compromise the tyre safety at all?

I like the mudflaps. Whose are they?

Guess you could get a LHD one imported from continental Europe.
Mind you, would you be happy with the 180PS (177BHP) twin-turbo 2 litre diesel engine it comes with?
We've never been able to get anything like the 335 BHP V6s you guys can get.

Ah! My bad. I thought it was odd. The coordinates I was looking at must've been for somewhere else. Stone Mountain, Georgia USA maybe.

Cool. British Columbia is a beautiful province. Difficult to believe that view is on the same latitude as Majorca!
Hoping to visit Canada again soon, once the pandemic is over.

Spectacular scenery. Where is that?
-
Was it taken at night?? Can't see anything at all.

Thanks. They're the standard 20" wheels for the Sport and ST-Line models here - Platinum-Grey, which I think is darker than the similar wheels offered as an option on the US Titanium model.

Nice looking cars. What is that on the right...a Fusion? You should post this pic in the "how many Fords have you owned" thread.

Nice pic.
Over here though, we call the 2nd gen Edge the Mark 1 and the 3rd gen the Mark 2. Confusing eh?
That's because the 1st gen was never imported.

Nice colour ?
My other ride!

Thanks.
It's tidy and all original but far from show quality - just looked after. The wheels are showing their age with a fair bit of pitting and with spokes needing the constant attention of the oily rag.
The twin discs at the front worked really well - in the dry. But in the wet they were lethal. The old twin leading shoe drums of the first 750J were much better, to be honesy. But it's not a problem now - modern brake pads and tyres make it stop and handle better than it ever did. And I never take it out in the wet now anyway!
