Ford put a fairly low torque limit on take off, it's talked about all over the mod/tuning section on here.

Oh. I will try to search for a few threads about it.

  2. Is it just me, or does the 2020 Edge ST have a rather 'slow' take off, from say a red light?

More than likely, this is because I have been used to a Mustang GT (460HP) for a while. But, still, 335HP should move, no?

  3. Considering the current climate for car prices, that seems like a good deal to me. Even more so, since the car seems to be fully loaded. Mine is fully loaded, and was $50k (2020 ST) sticker.

Plus, you would get it with some warranty, albeit, not much (about a years worth of driving, depending on how many miles you do a day/week).

PS: I would be curious to know why the previous owner traded/sold it...

  4. Do you own a Ford EDGE ST, or Ford Sport (since they are virtually the same)?
Do you own an iPhone, too?

If so, do you happen to have a holder/mount in your car? What is the make an model please? Looking for ideas and or suggestions.

PS: I use a wireless charger at home/night. So, looking for something that does not require a magnetic piece on the back of the iPhone. Thanks in advance.
  5. From various websites, it appears that Ford 'push' engine and 'exhaust' sounds into the speakers.

Is there a way to disable this?

I have been thinking about this for a while now. After all, the likes of Tesla and such have virtually no sound, and are fast cars. I would like my ST to still be fast, but also quiet, i.e. no 'exhaust' sound coming into the speakers.

My Edge Sport has none of those issues except the double honk.

I would avoid any “sporty” themed SUVs in the future because they all have terrible mileage and the features you listed. Next vehicle you get make sure it’s a car. Or an eco badged SUV. I drove a few Edge ST’s before I found my ‘15 sport and I honestly hated driving the ST. Many of the same gripes you had for sure. The Sport drove better, responded better, and overall just felt less gimmicky. Maybe test drive an older Sport if you can find one?

Hmm, interesting. I was under the impression that the ST was merely the same SUV, but with an ST badge on it.

Curious, is the HP on the Sport and ST, not identical?

  7. Honestly, I have a few people that constantly mention my ST, as a "Soccer Mum SUV".

Talk about annoying. I had to tell one individual to basically be quiet. Also had to remind them that my ST pushes 335HP, versus their car.

    Anyway, just venting...

  8. Ah, yes, a few issues you have listed, I feel your pain.

However, if it is not an option to trade and such, might have to start to adjust to all the various issues. If possible, find alternatives (not saying it is easy!).

  9. I live in Kennesaw, GA, and my closest Ford dealership is Jim Tidwell Ford. For years, I have been visiting that place, plus I get my services and such there, too.

A few days ago, I visited the place. Do you know they did not have no more than 20 new vehicles on the lot? And, almost 90% of them were F150 variations.

Maybe I missed, it, I am guessing there is a shortage of cars at the moment?

I know there is a chip shortage for PC. But...
