  1. I'm still absolutely stumped by this one, and popping it back up to the top just in case some fresh eyes on it will provide a solution.
  2. My ambient lighting does work. The fader/balance will work, sometimes, a little, and only responds to touch input after like 10 taps per try. It still clicks with every touch.
  3. I have a 2012 Limited with the memory power seats. It's high mileage (147,000 mi or so). I've been feeling the driver's seat shift on acceleration, harder braking, etc. for a while (seat mounting bolts are nice and tight). I'm assuming that there's wear in the power mechanisms for the seat causing this. More recently, there have been pops and snaps inside the seat while this his happening. I suspect my fat ass is eventually just going to break it. I suspect the answer is no, but is there a way to adjust to compensate for the wear? If/when not, is there anything to replace that's not just the whole seat? I might have to start trying to source a new seat. Thanks for reading!
  4. I keep hoping that someone who has solved this stumbles across this thread.
  5. I haven't found a solution yet. There's no surround option anywhere in any of the menus that I've seen as well, so I don't think that's it. That explanation makes sense, but there's nothing anywhere for automatically controlling sound. At least, not that I've found.
  6. I picked up a Vlinker Bluetooth adapter and installed Forscan on my phone. I don't see any DTCs in the APIM. I see I can reset the APIM using Forscan. I thought about trying it-- do any of you know if I will have to do any configuration of the system after I do that? I'm wondering if it's more thorough and a master reset. I know my radio presets lived through the master reset.
  7. I'm satisfied with the output of the replacement HID bulbs. I'm sort of surprised the originals were still going, you'd think they'd be having trouble striking by now. I guess the capsule is teeny-tiny in them, though. The arc doesn't have very far to go.
  8. Never mind. If I'd spent a little more time searching, I would have found it. Here's what I found if anyone else looks and sees this thread:
  9. Hello all, I have a 2012 Limited with factory HIDs, just purchased. The bulbs in it, presumably originals, are somewhat dim and have yellowed as HIDs tend to eventually do. I bought new bulbs, and was starting to change them, but I can't figure out how to pop the wire connector off of the bulbs. There isn't enough room or slack to pull the bulb out with the wire attached, and I can't find a tab or anything to release. There's a metal dover over the connector that I could bend back to see the green plastic plug, but it's still not obvious how to disconnect, and i don't want to ruin anything. I feel dumb having to post for help disconnecting a headlight wire, but I don't want to damage it. Thanks1
  10. Nothing in diagnostic mode either. I'm going to pull the fuse at some point here. My new HID bulbs showed up today (the ones in there must be original, they're pretty dim) so I'll do it when I put those in. I'll update with the results. Thank you guys!
  11. I'll give that a try. I know there is a fault code thrown by the APIC when I connect with forscan, but it's just indicating the nav sdcard is missing. I have to get a new Bluetooth OBD adapter because mine's old and doesn't have the extra pins for the car's MS (I think) CAN bus. I picked one of the ones recommended on the forscan site, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. It's still cold but I might still get around to trying this tonight. It will be cold here for 6 months yet.
  12. I didn't see anything in the settings. I'm going to pull the fuse next. I know there's an error because there's no nav sd card, but I can't see how that would effect it.
  13. I was thinking it must be something like that. I'll have to dig around some more and see if I missed it. This is my first vehicle with a more advanced infotainment system, so I'm having fun messing around with it.
  14. It's worth a shot. Ultimately I'll live if I can't get it to work, but it would be nice to be able to tweak the audio a little bit. I'll report back when I get to it. It's cold here!
  15. I ran it through the master reset and it went through fine. They're still not responding. It's so strange. I was hoping doing the update I downloaded from Ford would fix it, but nope.
