  1. Hey Dude (sorry, couldn't resist), if you post a few pictures of the capless area, I'll venture a guess. Make sure to show what the inner circle area slots look like. I'm guessing it's the one that doesn't fit mine (BU5Z-9C268-B).
  2. I'm actually starting to think of a way to use it, mounted under a PVC Cap (I got at our Home Depot) with a key hole of course, to create a more tough capping off of the capless. Our Tractor Supply also packages a metal Dust Cap of good dimensions; but, they're charging $24 for 2. About the thinness of the one that works ... the tolerance of the swivel part is so close, I could not seem to duplicate it with a cabinet lock I had picked up at the hardware store. I'm getting there ...
  3. I tested the pulling to the left idea again this morning, and I could not duplicate it. Maybe it corrected itself?
  4. Where are the recommendations listed? My '96 Ranger has them in it's manual if I remember correctly. I've got all the original printed materials in a nice cloth wallet/pocketbook ... paper manual, other things and the original car window sales list of add-ons.
  5. Rotors and Pads now replaced. Ford ESP Base Care now paid in full. 2 years / 24,000 miles According to Carfax reports last full servicing of all fluids was around 91,000 At 126,000. I'm thinking I'll start anew and do all that again, including maybe replacing spark plugs with "E3's". Suggestions about maintenance we;lcomed.
  6. 2015 Ford Edge Titanium with 126,300 miles The Used Car Dealer I bought this from promised if any mechanical things were wrong, they'd fix / replace. (discovered within 30 Days) So, I got mine inspected by a Ford Dealership using their Used Car Inspection process. It showed rotors and pads needed attention. They would not give me all their paperwork, saying it was to protect themselves against law suits (???). After the Used Car Dealer's chosen shop finished the work, I noticed both front and rear items cost the same. Rotors 57.14 Pads 28.56. When asked what Brand, they said "Standard". After looking things up, it looks like rear rotors usually cost more than front for an Edge ... and these prices were average. My car now also pulls some to the left when hard braking. Comments welcomed about my Ford Dealer, the Used Car Dealer's Shop and the results. Need to double check anything? I'm calling about the pulling to one side soon.
  7. Fits nicely. Although a little awkward to get it in. Peace of mind worth the jiggle. (All yours ... Go for it)
  8. I found one that fits. Best price out of Las Vegas ... $55 plus tax incl. Shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/325104675916 Note: it has ventilation holes where some don't
  9. Officially signed out of the dealer's Assurer Vehicle Protection extended warranty ... And accepting the FORD ESP offered through Lombard Ford. I think I did the best of None, AVP or ESP Won't need to add Rental as I still have my '96 Ranger and State Farm Auto Insurance which has Rental options. Time Will Tell
  10. Update My FORD ESP 24,000/24 month Warranty went through. Passed their Centro Inspection by a descendant of the Virginia Jefferson family. Should I keep the FORD ESP Warranty at a cost of about $1500? Trying to be the mature one, and overlook a somewhat rude employee at our local Ford Dealer: would not let me return a part approved for return by Ford Accessories Online: a lockable gas cap that doesn't work on a 2015. They yelled out as I entered: "You're not going to try and return that part are you?" Also a person who had just picked up his new looking Ford truck from their shop, stopped and yelled out his window: " It took 3 weeks to get this back!!!" Or should I keep an "AVP Warranty" I purchased at the Used Car Dealer for around $2700? and be able to get my car repaired anywhere I choose? (18/18,000) Rationalizing: If I need a large repair covered by Warranty, I'll probably want to go to a Ford Dealership Shop ... right? FORD parts, FORD know how, etc? 24 vrs 18 months ... 24,000 vis 18,000 miles ...
  11. Unfortunately, there's no photo. That number probably points to the version that only fits previous models. Price-wise, that would sort of confirm my suspician. Thanks for your help though.
  12. actually, I was very surprised ... with all the design and technology that went into the design of the 2015 Edge Titanium ... an Achilles Heel of sorts ... I'm leery someone will put something into the tank ... continuing my search for a reasonable solution ... not ruling out the most recent suggestion ... I just can't stop laughing Livin' Life on the Edge I'm also wondering about spell check ...
  13. ... and for $20 ... I'll let you watch them install it ; )
  14. ( liking the humor ... but, it's the wrong one for a 2015 ... for $10 it might be fun to watch'em try? )
